TBH we really had to settle for Ariana Grande last year. Pop music was fucking DRY. We had good singles from different artists but majority of the best music last year came from non-Americans. Especially in the mainstream. Hopefully pop picks up. And hopefully Charli can save Pop this year.

The whole "white guy with an acoustic guitar singing about a girl" shtick is pop's most annoying archetype IMO. Treat You Better is the most insufferable song of 2016 (and I listened to Meghan Trainor's album). EDIT: omg and Charlie Puth is the worst too, xposed is totally right
