Also Secret by Charli is INCREDIBLY ignored. Should've been a second single at least. Like Sophie really did that. And the vocals are so haunting. And then the bridge sounds like your floating in a Sea of vodka. Love it. This, definitely. I actually heard someone BLASTING Secret out of their car speakers the other day when I was out and needless to say I was shook. As for other underrated tracks, I would say Beats by Hannah, A.G.'s remix of Odyssey Pt. 2 (this was the song that really sold PC Music to me back in the old days of fall 2014), and Life Sim's remix of Bugatti by Tiga.

I was literally going to mention each of these lmao I LUV that one vocal sample that's in all the 2013 PC Music songs. It just feels so warm and when it shows up more recently - "Big Bratt" uses it and I always thought the Deep Trouble EP semi-referenced it - it makes me smile. Largely, I'd say 2013 PC is underrated as an Era - I accept we'll never get the big unreleased tunes from there but their approach to tunes then was so enjoyable Life Sim's tunes r very samey (I'm surprised they aren't mentioned in the other thread because I always thought of them as The Boring One) but the arpeggios absolutely hit the mark sometimes. Their remixes are great, but the mixes are underrated especially cuz I've never seen anyone talk about them

Snow Globe was my favorite release of 2015! It's honestly one of the best songs PC Music has put out.

They're so vapor-wave adjacent, and i'm very glad that their style evolved and matured into some of the most well informed compositions this side of true classical music.

Not sure if it's necessarily underrated but easyFun's Deep Trouble EP remains my favorite PC Music release to date.

MDMA BY ALEX COOK also his remix of Better Off Alone is highly underrated imo Words can't express how his better off alone remix is like the epitome of something idk. Early rave culture? I love his "hey babe-y don't come in here acting silly now", then the laugh I think he played that quote /vocal live recently last year if not mistaken Then how those vocals of DJ talk? slip in and out all slightly fuzzy and muffled like walkey talkey? I love it

I love it yes! That vocal snippet made a comeback @ alex's echoplex set from earlier this year A lot of the songs i think are "underrated" are simply songs that i found out about a while after they came out and/or before i found out about these forums - Santa Is My Girl by DJ Warlord (really fucking everything DJ Warlord is underrated imo) - GFOTY's V Day Mix - Let's Kiss by GFOTY - Violets Are Blue (Ricky Eat Acid Mix) by A G Cook - EEEHHH (Life Sim Remix) by SOPHIE - Party On My Own by Dux Kidz (especially the SOPHIE remix!!) - Olive Quarter Eva by Life Sim - Bugatti (Life Sim Remix) by Tiga - Good Price by Kane West - ANYTHING SPINEE HAS EVER TOUCHED I LOVE U SPINEE #JusticeForSpinee

They're so vapor-wave adjacent, and i'm very glad that their style evolved and matured into some of the most well informed compositions this side of true classical music. IDK I'd say PC using the same trance palette for every other song for two years now is far more reductive now than any sound from back then. The songs are bigger or better, but its exactly the more carefree approach then that made them stand out more to me (ultimately its a compromise and I think they hit the golden balance the following year) I compare the original Broken Flowers to the 2015 one. I prefer the former, bc it shows restraint, its tense, mysterious, and all pays off at the drop at the end. The 2015 one pops more to sound more in place with other PC n tropical house, and whilst it is produced better it loses all of that in the process (its still good dgmw, and in that case the tradeoff is fair enough)
