I'm bored. Not sure if there's a related thread
I met my best friend right when I started liking PC Music a couple of years ago. So I'll always be associated w PC Music or just weird electronic to her n she has heard her share trust me. She actually really liked A.G Cook. Beautiful, Skeleton n we even rear ended someone listening to AG's Karmelloz edit of BMW LMFAO. (Her car not mines ^^) Anyways over time I guess she started to not like it and she doesn't tolerate it at all anymore. My other close friends will beg me for the aux in my car n I never get the aux in theirs unless they ask me to drive then I MIGHT get one.
They all listen to rap which is cool n all but I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem. I do restrict myself to electronic mostly but it's p diverse. 18+ is prob the only rap group I know words too. My friends enjoy them but still make who df is this comments
I've also found that I get mixed responses or hit or miss responses when I share PC Music to my fellow gaians on gaiaonline. There's this review song thread in the word games forum I always post in when a new PC song comes out. I thought about sharing some of their responses here if anyone is interested.
Do ur friends enjoy the music you listen to?

mixed responses tbh, I think tracks with altered vocals in any way put allot of people off instantly.

People I've shown either love it or hate it, no in between, though only a couple have been on the love it side.

Took my friend to a SOPHIE show and they were weary about it at first, but after a few songs they loved him. Didn't help he starts off with LOVE tho (which bangs live, but is def his least accessible song).

Depends. People I know who are already into weirder music or internet-core stuff love it, of course. One of my personal proudest accomplishments was turning a friend of mine who is a huge Industrial-head onto SOPHIE. Think Nine Inch Nails, Coil, Severed Heads, that sort of thing (which I love too, incidentally.) He thought it was just a joke at first but once I got him paying attention to the sound design, compositional sophistication, and adherence to aesthetics both have in common, he was hooked on everything PC Music. For the most part, though, a lot of casual music listeners I know dismiss it as flavor of the month hipster trash or look at it with a kind of wry amusement. I've played Lemonade at a few parties and gotten people to get down, but the other stuff doesn't come as naturally (for good reason.)

One of my friends likes the Broken Flowers EP. Otherwise a few of them think its ok, a few of them hate it, but mostly they just treat it as one of my weird obsessions.

OK but for reals, a lot of my internet friends (I don't really have IRL friends) like PC Music.

So my irl and internet friends (besides the ones I've made in here), don't really like the pitched vocals. After that they think that it's a fresh new sound. Like they don't mind the vocals being sort of pitched but not too high. For example a lot of them love the Vroom Vroom EP, Secret is a popular one I think it's cause it's on tv a lot, they think the vocals are cool and all that. I showed them the After The after Party remix by Danny and they loved how "eerie" it was and didn't even mind the pitched cause it wasn't too high. They also like a lot of the Danny Songs cause they are closer to regular vocals. They love the Sophie beats. They actually don't mind the pitched stuff on Sophie. A lot of my friends think Hannah Diamond is ridiculous but makes catchy music. The overall feel is that they like good beats and not so much pitched vocals.

(I don't really have IRL friends) I'll reiterate what I said in a previous thread: I don't like it that much, but good for her. I guess you reap what you sow 🙃
