Lemme just postulate something: the songs are done by the producers, right? Charli basically just performs them. Doesn't that mean that they're working their asses off while she just waits her turn to do a little song and dance? lmfao seriously? tale as old as time: "minimizing a female artist's involvement in her own art" Bitch don't make this about gender. If we were talking about, idk, Troye Sivan, I'd be saying the same thing. Sure, writing and composing might not be easy, but producing is on another complete level. I wouldn't be talking this about M.I.A., for example. So yeah. Fuck all the way off.

She's there throughout the whole process, and is a very talented writer. She made tons of music before PCM and writes for other ppl. She's very in control of her own image

You can take several seats.

While PC Music has been producing her recent music, Charli has always AND will always be a person of many talents. Some of the songs she wrote as a teen OMF they are amazing. She definitely deserves fame and credit. She's worked so hard to get where she is and is my favorite ❤️💝

I assume I came off as a little dismissive. The work that writers and composers do is in no way an easy thing to do, and it deserves a lot of praise.
That being said, producers work a lot more. That's my opinion.
Sorry for offending anyone here.

I think producers get a lot more of the technical workload, but creative problem solving and solutions are more of a songwriters/composers forte.

I may be a beginner that hasn't even put out a finished production yet (because it's hard as heck and I lack the necessary equipment), but I've wrote and composed for a friend before (for fun, of course), so I'm telling how I perceive it, from the experience that I had. I'm sure everyone has different experiences regarding the issue.

I'm sure everyone has different experiences regarding the issue. That makes sense. When you have the same amount of experience in each (which I do regarding pop music, classical music is different since I've had many more years of experience composing it), it is all about the same difficulty

I think producers could produce, compose, and sing a song on their own but a songwriter couldn't. I'd say overall production is harder but if someones really good at production and another persons really good at songwriting, it's equally as hard for each of them.
