Not a single news about Month of Mayhem or Me4U because it's probably too obscure and now they're calling them mainstream. What a joke. I'm kind of ashamed that I let them form my taste in music when I was still young, dumb and full of dreams.

Popjustice talking about the "24 hour album". I love his cheeky writing style and the way he low-key bashes the artists while praising them lol

He's just interested in it. Doesn't mean he's doing it.

omg those photos of AG are beautiful lots of exciting info in here...apparently some material with Father and Tommy Cash is coming. it also says that he made some tracks exclusively for Julia but I haven't seen those surface online yet. I wish there was a better translation than Google!

Hi all, I don't come on here so much any more and I hope this doesn't come off spammy but I recently wrote a PC Music thinkpiece for a job application at Crack Magazine and I thought some of you might find it interesting. It's about how PC Music have forged a path from being very hyped early on to now being a really stable and consistent force. I tried to pick out the ways in which the collective operates in a different way to many artists, which may have enabled them to continue without burning out/going through label drama/being accused of selling out/alienating fans etc. and there's also a little bit of analysis of what they're doing artistically. I hope you find the article interesting and would love to hear any feedback! Maybe you disagree with some of the points I'm making? It's very subjective. (This seemed like the most appropriate thread to post in but if it's better elsewhere let me know) medium.com/@richardbarr1991/how-pc-music-survived-the-hype-6faf0af81b85

It’s a good article, and does a good job capturing my thesis that PC Music was designed from Day 1 to survive being co-opted. I wish there was a little more setup before “they also engage with politics”, though. The section’s effective but it doesn’t feel very set up as a concluding thesis by “Charli XCX likes them now!”.
