I've already seen a few news items about PRODUCT, some focusing heavily on the SILICONE item...

was thinking about the future SOPHIE Ultramajic release and did some googling, came across an interview with Jimmy Edgar from earlier this year where he talks about the future release. Don't think I ever saw this posted on here. Really hoping that whatever it is will finally come out in 2016. djmag.com/content/jimmy-edgar-do-you-believe-majicFour albums in, Edgar has a surety about waiting until the time is right. It’s precisely the situation with another collaborative project he’s had running away in the background for some time. “I highly, highly admire Sophie so much,” he tells us on the UK artist, who’s released on Numbers and is part of headline-generating act QT.
“To be honest, he's one of my idols. He's got such an intuitive way of making music. He doesn't come from a background of music, but he will sit there and tune things for hours to get the right kind of melody. He likes a lot of cheesy melodies, but he has some stuff that I have in my possession where the melodies are so beautiful.
“Something I admire about him is that he'll work on a track until it's a complete work of art. It will just show through. He hasn't released a lot of music, but what he has is exactly what he wanted. I preach a lot these days about artist integrity and he is just a shining example of that.”
Sitting on 30 or 40 of Sophie’s tracks, and with an EP long feted for Ultramajic, both share a perfectionism and lack of free time that makes any shelf date for their work together impossible to predict. They do have a name for their duo, though, which is so long “it's ridiculous,” grins Edgar. “That's about all I can say right now. There is some stuff that he's involved with that's coming out soon. He's got side projects that people don't know about, but it very much has the sound.”

Absolutely love that bittersweet feeling I get when I watch the "FADER FORT" version. It keeps building up, and you keep expecting the "fizzy" and "bouncy" elements to come, but they never do. It keeps me on my toes. And then she just takes her headphones off, her purse, her flowers, and leave. Such an amazing performance.

I love that video because I'm in it (up at the front right at 0:59) Also there are several parts in it where QT was smiling at me dancing all silly. I love having these events professionally recorded because I can watch back and I'm right back in the moment. This was one of the best days of my life tbh (not just because of Fader Fort, there was the official PC showcase that night and I also got some really good news that my mom wasn't going to need chemotherapy).

when i first read this i was so sure that you were the qt who sent her the pic of the lavender bouquet! I'm not sure. It could be a composite of a couple different messages I've sent her, or it could be about someone else. I had the same thought at first though

"FACT: Danny started making electronic music as a way of sending Facebook friends a gift. He’d write them a song and send it to them on their birthday. " Hm, this probably explains where Aquarius comes from and why we haven't heard it yet. If he ever did a Kickstarter for some reason a birthday song would be a fun pledge reward.

thequietus.com/articles/19268-qt-sophie-pc-music-live-review-club-to-club-festival(Mostly positive) review of QT & SOPHIE's recent performance in Italy. I enjoyed this writeup but tbh I'm not sure I understand what the writer's getting at in this section: They seem to think unreservedly enjoying the music live is incompatible with thinking critically about it? That's what I'm getting out of this anyway. Not sure why seeing a crowd enjoy Hey QT would be "disturbing" and I really don't understand what they mean by "embarrassingly posh stage invasion." What is posh referring to in that sentence? The people climbing on stage? The act of getting onstage itself? Idk.

Quinnton Thomas? I thought it was just Quinn Yeah, I guess Quinn is short for Quinnton. First I heard of it was in the Iceland airwaves interview (posted in this thread a couple pages back)
