This has kind of already been asked and answered but I'm gonna see if anyone has anymore advice (you guys are very helpful).
How do I get those massive trance stabs? Like, those chords that can sound really toy-ish and playful but also really rich and powerful. Any ideas? Tips for logic would be great!

Would you post an example from a track?

loukessler, those are supersaws, you can create a lot of pcms sound palatte in es2. set your oscillators all to saw (N shaped), detune one an octave up and one an octave down, and change the fine tune on each to create a little detune. set synth to unison (and mono if applicable), enable maximum number of voices, and play with the "analog" parameter on the left. you can play with envelopes, i usually start with no attack full sustain short release on the amplitude. you can create the stabby quality by closing a 24 db lowpass filter with no resonance and opening it with an envelope with short decay and low sustain.

Well someone with more knowledge of Logic/Plugins might be able to id what's going on here Can't ID any actual plugins he might be using there, but I can tell you that most of the stuff that plays on his screen during that video is just pretty graphics getting the shit distorted out of them hehe

I don't think A.G. Cook is using Logic Pro in the video, if he is he's using a much older version. Here is a list of all the Logic Pro Plugins that comes with it and none of their interfaces looks like what's on that screen. www.apple.com/logic-pro/plugins-and-sounds/I also love it that the sound warps when he turns the knob on that audio interface, I can tell you almost certainly he's turning a Trim knob and that would just affect the level of the sound, not warp it like it does in the video.

Well someone with more knowledge of Logic/Plugins might be able to id what's going on here Looks like he's got Logic's ES2 open on the left there. Not familiar with the pink things; maybe they link to a MIDI keyboard (they look like square pads, so...)?

lol i REALLY want to know what plugins/daw AG uses, not to "steal" his tastes in convenient tabla rusas (a broad thing to steal, imo) I'd just like to hear more hifi things other than pc music
Reaktor has some really cool stuff Digital Performer is pretty amazing too

Okay, I'm wondering how to get those really drawn out bassy kicks that a lot of producers use (for example, SOPHIE uses them in MSMSMSM, the verses of Trophy, and the drop of Paradise) in Logic Pro X?

“We are nostalgists as much as we are futurists. We blissfully relive the 8-bit primitivism of a bygone age, preserved forever by the endless archival capacity of the internet, whilst utilising those same networks to shape the fantastical landscapes of tomorrow. […] We are thus cynics, and yet eternal optimists, our technologies driving our melancholia and invention in equal measure.” Great quote, who said this?
