Wow ! I have to say so far I'm very impressed by all yours music . I don't know if their is already a thread about it but did you ever consider to make a compilation of pc music forum users ? Or maybe some concept or theme "contest" , like covering something or with some given theme or sound material to see what forums user can up to ? I trying myself to make music but I have a hard time to finish songs . And its really not the music style of this forum . Some outrun/nu-disco song I made 2 years ago but I'm not happy with all the rythme and really lacks of some punch : vimeo.com/77027701Maybe the vocaloid voice use and some j-pop sound reference in this song I tried to finish can interest some of you ? soundcloud.com/user-52631305/wip-i-want-the-sun-with-vocaloid/s-iJ7c8But in overall its a new-wave song . I like the sound but i'm not happy with the lyrics and chords melody , i'm trying to find alternative and a more punchy chorus . If you can give me some advice and thought , i will appreciate even if its probably not the music you guy's are into .

I think the melody following the vocal line in the chorus could be changed maybe, might give more weight to the chorus?? This is SO SO good. I love the hypnotic nature of the repeating chorus. This has to be one of the first english vocaloid songs I thought worked... Wow!! I would honestly buy this. EDIT: Metropolis is massive as well... do you have any more music?? I really love ur stuff

Yes , I feel the same , when I find the vocal chorus in my head it was very exiting but after making the lyrics and had the vocaloid something wasnt there anymore . Maybe I try to hard to wrote the lyrics for the theme of the song and the rhyme and I will reworking it with more similair words as what I first imagine . I came accross in the john maus forum a guy who use in the same way english vocaloid for his music . I higly recommend you to listen to his song : www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rs3SZEyYUsThe chorus line , with this strange alternance beetween 3/4 and 4/4 step , is in my opinion , so catchy and genuisly done . Maybe I will show him my song for them similarities EDIT: Metropolis is massive as well... do you have any more music?? I really love ur stuff In fact I've got like between 50 and 100 stuff/idea I think have something interesting in it but nothing is finish and I've got a lot of hard time to finish them . I'm maybe to obsessed with structuraly pop song and its something very unatural and hard for me to do . But PC music really make me understand what I love in music and I'm not afraid to use ( as my friend used to say about whats wrong in my song ) " funfair sounds " and I'm now very inspired and working on a lot stuff I will probably post there for some advice from pc music lovers . There is this new wave song I think got a good pop build but the voice recording was so disapointing I quite working on it : soundcloud.com/user-52631305/sungoingup-voice1/s-uTMSVNow that I have got positive feedback for vocaloid voice I will try with it . Thanks everyone for the feedback . I'm currently tryingg to make some kyary pamyu pamyu style song and if I find a good chorus , I think you guys might be interest by it .

Lol I forgot to repost my account. My current account is m.soundcloud.com/raoulameI'm working on some stuff so I haven't posted anything yet. I'm trying to make sure that even over time my work is still good to listen to. Also working a lot to get vocal equipment (which is really pricey). Just got my hands on ProTools but might cancel that out for Logic Pro. Seems to be the better program.

Protools is very powerfull but not very user friendly . I've myself very bad expenrience with Logic pro . The workflow is very good and intuitive but if you don't know what you do , you ends up with a very messy and poor mixing and mastering by default ( especially with reverb ) and its a mac exclusive . I had hard time with a band in which I was playing who use logic and the sounds by themself were good but was so ugly after been mix down and was shameful and not suitable for live gigs . And also I'm a pc user so its not practical if you have to do stuff with other people material . Ableton got the same workflow style of logic , is mac and pc , and have a very punchy and powerfull sound mix I think so give it a try . Me I'm stuck with an old version of reason and what to switch to live and renoise after finishing what i start with reason ( I cant afford the new reason for the moment which is a shame cause its got all the mastering and recording tools I lack of )

I personally really enjoy logic. i come from exclusively listening instrument based music only and have just very recently started to actively listen to electronic music, and logic is just great for both (if you know mixing a little) and for the price they have it at now which includes the massive alchemy sample based synth that is just a huge feature on its own (it used to sell independently) i feel like its the better option

You and dertinoises both gave me opposite reviews on Logic Pro. But I might have to check out Ableton if Logic is more for Apple seeing as I have a PC. Tbh I'll just go with whatever is more affordable. The quality obviously depends on experience with the program. Equipment is so expensive on top of other things. It's taking forever to save money for everything. But one step at a time I guess. I've actually heard a lot of good things about Reason. I should look into that.

Reason is only good if you buy it. Its only been cracked to version 5 and it cant really process audio files at that point. but otherwise its a pretty solid DAW. Ive also heard good stuff about Cubase and Pro tools though

Hey that awesome , love electro get kind of punky . Remind a little of this : www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlsDIZ1Vy8sBut if can give you some idea/advice , I think it will be cool if at out point or an other to leave just the electronic bass and the drum repeat themself without the guitar . I really like song when its switch between a really repeatitive and robotic drum with just one continious bass note in rythme and instruments adding harmonies . I try to find a song In my head which really illustrate that but I can't find it but I have some exemple who can fit . This song of cheeks on speed is not very fast but got this robotic bass on the back and make some guitar break to switch between athmosphere : soundcloud.com/user-52631305/07-we-dont-play-guitarlive/s-OZ6iALess subtil , in retalk of mad capsule market : www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBnkb2VYjZE&nohtml5=Falseand no alternance in this on but the simple electronic sound of it is strangly very catchy : www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQxVbJfFSI4&nohtml5=FalseDont take it like a critic , its just a personnal envy I felt when I listened it of the first time : no guitar , one note , simple machine drum and bam! guitar and stuff .
