he just does some song IDs or artist IDs and talks about his guests occasionally

i dont like him because he talks too goddamn much during his sets also i hear him and the manicure guys act like tools at live shows but thats hearsay so w/e well now i have first-hand evidence of the manicure people (at least ghibli) being tools |

Oh wow, that's just naive really. Not a good idea on Ghibli's part at all. If I was Sophie I would ask Ghibli to remove that post, I'm sure he would be forgiving, but do people have any discretion anymore? That one person on the Manicure street team's reply to u was just straight up tactless however.

Anybody seen Nina Las Vegas live? I'm catching her tonight in DC, I imagine she'll jam some Rytmeklubben. I'm seeing her in a couple weeks in Austin! How was the DC show? Also, personally I don't dislike Jack, I am just mildly annoyed by the amount of talking on his mixes. I don't listen to them live so without the whole interactive chatroom aspect the number of shoutouts is just kind of annoying. Most of the mixes I've liked but the June mix I LOVED OMG and have been playing nonstop since the first time I heard it so I'm looking forward to listening to the July one. Re: that Twitter thread, being in a fandom that is small enough that gossip easily gets around has really made me think about how I interact with/talk about "public figures" in general. Especially the high number of lurkers on the forum has made me increasingly wary of posting anything gossipy because there's a possibility it could actually affect the people I'm talking about. But it took a while for that awareness to sink in. |

Yeah, this article was a bit off-putting to me. The author seemed to elevate Manicure by comparing them to PC in regards to social issues. To me, this seems like a cheap maneuver. How do you guys feel about it? |
