Song & Video out on 28/07/2017
The much-awaited follow-up to Charli XCX's critically-acclaimed mixtape "Number 1 Angel", or rather the rightful follow-up to Charli XCX's critically...acknowledged.... single "After the Afterparty", "Boys" is Charli XCX's new single from her yet untitled 3rd studio album, because Number 1 Angel was obviously just a mixtape. "Boys" is produced by Cass Lowe and written by 5 people who are not Charli XCX. Much unlike her critically-acclaimed Number 1 Angel mixtape, produced by EASYFUN, A.G. Cook, Danny L Harle and SOPHIE, this mid-tempo tropical-sounding track boasts absolutely no connection to PC Music or SOPHIE (that we know of) whatsoever. But don't worry, PC Music fans will still feel right at home with the super-quirky 8-bit coin sounds and bubbly waterfall samples...because that's what PC Music is, right? Totally.
Feel free to discuss this song below.

I don't know what to think anymore like I was so ready to completely despise everything about this song but hearing it now it's kinda cute. I guess I would like it more if charli didn't have 999999 other much better songs that still don't get released

It's kind of cute. Not a huge fan of the coin sound in it

Yeah, it's good. It's got a really nice dreaminess sound thats absent from pop music atm. Ppl in the Needlessly Bitchy thread mentioned that its lacking a feature - i disagreed at first but can see Raye jumping on this
The whole campaign implied a much more trashy (in aesthetics over quality) single - are they on their way to figuring out how to market her after the forced Afterparty?

80s revival rules but it feel like its just so uninspired and even then john hill is talented af
its just a remaster of an old soul instrumental with charli and uffie on top which is why
