It’s from before, the leakers had added this part to the genius lyrics. It just was only posted (clip-wise) recently, so not necessarily for a new project. It’d be crazy if Liz & Charli actually collaborated on a released song, lol. Well, taking the tweet at the top of this page into consideration, it might be released someday and LIZ could be in the final version. Watch her redo it with Kim Petras, though. lol kim’s New song is just a reworked version of the same chords and melodies in “Rather Be” by clean bandit and “Into you” by Ariana Grande. Props. |

Props. apparently Charli recorded it, but i can’t find the clip anywhere. there was a snippet of her singing the prechorus on lanaboards but this was like at least a year ago. somebody was taking about it over there and i remember hearing it too and kim literally sounds like charli in the song too but it would be cool to get the full version of whatever charli was singing and see what kim took from it |

Thoughts on pop the balloons? It's good! Heavy on old school Sophie fx: bubbles, cracks and whatnot. But: Is it a leak? Or a remake? I dunno but somehow I'm getting vibes like this was made by someone with the aid of the sample pack. |

I dunno but somehow I'm getting vibes like this was made by someone with the aid of the sample pack. it’s original. When u listen to the final XCX3, almost all of Sophie’s little influences over the more mainstream tracks sound like they’re from the sample pack. Pop the balloons was supposed to be pitched but was turned down not surprisingly. A snippet went around that didn’t have Sophie that was supposedly little mix although some said it was Sarah Hudson. Like most of the demos- unfinished but I still enjoy. |

She’s been hanging out with this nasty cherry band a lot and teasing guitars on instagram. I’m out if she’s actually going to try and be punk rock. It’s a waste of what already was a mess of an era. This whole PC era by Charli was managed so crazily. It was seriously disorganized, I have no idea why they didn’t just rush release the final album after it was leaked which is what most artists do. |

They didn't rush release the final album because it never was the final album--what people think of + talk about as the "album" is not what it was in final form, because it never got to that point. The registered songs were pretty much confirmed, but over the years she never confirmed that the album was formulated into a final tracklist. That's why there are so many ~contenders~ that don't make total sense, including the N1A songs and "Boys." On top of that, FckYeahCharli made her think that all the SOPHIE collabs leaked, so she decided to put Pop 2 together instead....she almost put out most of the leaked songs & the OG collabs out instead. </3 TL;DR: the reason they didn't rush release it was probably because "it" didn't exist. |
