So Diplo and Charli are doing bad covers with samples. What happened? Just a few years ago everything was so fresh and exciting.

Like I get where you’re coming from but all of these people - Diplo included - have basically lived in the pop songwriter-camp system from the moment they found success outside the blogs and sometimes that world just requires that you do a moombahton flip of “Wannabe” for whatever reason

Diplo’s material has plummeted in quality and so has Charli’s. I am big fans of both but the quality of work is just not there. Charli’s management and album planning is so bad. 1999 was months ago and was so subpar. We haven’t gotten anything since then. I wouldn’t be so harsh if I didn’t know she had great material that’s just shelved. |

Spicy existed for ages prior as just Diplo x Herve Pagez with the original spice girls vocals... i guess Charli wanted to record her vox on it and the rest was history. It’s a fun track regardless and all the hate is confusing tbh
