Lipgloss & Cherry Pop doesn't even exist tbh. It's all just a collective illusion.

lemme guess, NOT lipgloss and cherry pop? I read somewhere that SOPHIE charges like $10,000 a song so AGs prices can’t be much better...i doubt liz has a budget to pay for that but hopefully I’m wrong unpopular opinion BUT Sophie productions IMO are infinitely more complex (well maybe not the recent ones) but the older ones, then AG's productions. You sometimes wonder why there are thousands of rip offs of AG's style and I think it's probably because it's not that difficult to replicate. The only song of his that I absolutely love is superstar. Of course he's an amazing artist but there isnt a comparison between him and our favorite redhead

I think the major difference is that the hallmarks of the "SOPHIE sound" come from a $1500 briefcase synthesizer that got famous by association, whereas A.G. gets his from extensive tweaking in, like, Serum or something. So regardless of the effort that goes into any given production the former is going to inevitably feel a little more individualistic and upmarket than the latter.

Why are we still talking about LIZ on this forum, she did one song with PC and has shown no signs that she'll be doing more.

Well, Elektron doesn't make the Monomachine anymore so that will definitely help with it's rarity. It was never $1500 either, The highest it got was around $1,250 and then right before they stopped production they slashed it to $799. Still way more expensive than a softsynth! I'm still mad I sold my Monomachine when I needed money. I didn't realize they were stopping production so soon! I also wonder what happens when SOPHIE's dies? I hope she has lots of backups!! Elektron's 'replacement' for the Monomachine, the Analog Four doesn't even come close!

I've been seeing a few going around for under £1k, which is still real money but its not impossible/ridiculous levels to rebuy.

They had to ship it from Germany tho and it was one of the last ones they had. They show up on eBay tho

A brief review- if you want it, buy it. Worth saving for, However keep in mind that it's incredibly hard to use and the manual is definitely ESL, so it's hard to understand. I still can't plug mine into my laptop successfully, so I only use it for live things

Machinedrum, Octatrack MKI, Analog Keys and Analog Rytm. If anyone ever has any questions regarding them, just let me know. I got the Machinedrum all the way back in 2006! Time flies!
