There is also the 2NE1 Vs Eero johannes A.G. Cook edit https%3A%2F%2Fsoundcloud.com%2Flogomagazine%2F2ne1-vs-eero-johannes-fire-a-gAs an avid skweee digger of more than ten years now, I'd like to ask if you people feel any similaritites between skweee and PCM? Though skweee is more synth based and lo-fi, I still get some similar feelings listening to it than I get from PCM. A couple of examples follow:

How does this song remind you of PC Music? I hear some FM synthesis in the chords and bassline, which obviously SOPHIE and PC use to get their favorite timbres, but to me this is an obvious attempt at making a deep house K-pop song in the style of Disclosure. Even the pitched vocal stuff going on the background has been around for ages before PC got going, and the way it's done here isn't nearly at PC levels of crazy. the chorus reminded me a lot of some things PCM are famous to do, but, as you said, everyone is influenced by something that came before. it could be just a case of cross contamination. i fail to see the resemblance with Disclosure, though edit: clearly hearing the Disclosure resemblance now

the k-pop band f(x) released an album today, and the main track reminds me so much of the sound PCM are used to make. we all have seen it on minor djs and producers, but i think kpop and PC Music are so distant, yet, listen to this: what do you guys think? I forgot this was coming out. Thank you based MFOTY! The chorus reminds me of the (excellent) ' I Didn't Just Come Here to Dance' by Carly Rae Jepsen which drew comparisons to Danny L Harle (Broken Flowers if I remember correcetly) when it came out. f(x)'s album has a lot of influence from House/Dance-Pop/EDM which is really fantastic! I especially like ' Papi'.

'I Didn't Just Come Here to Dance' as produced by Danny L Harle would've been awe-inspiring.

Black Box briefly dabbled in time travel sometime around the mid-eighties and stole the idea of a pseudo-singer to front their project from QT during a visit to 2014.
Without SOPHIE, Hayden and A. G. there would be no Ride On Time.

Sounds like Hot Chip + PC Music. it's Sarah Jones, Hot Chip's drummer and she also does backing vocals

Another carbon copy of PC Music, what do you guys think? The song is new it just premiered like 3 days ago. youtu.be/5gD2VjeR6Yg Nah, imho this is a radio-friendly pop house track with just one bit of obvious PC influence, namely the prechorus. Though admittedly it also contains elements of other stuff that PC Music has toyed with in the past, such as the sudden tempo change in the bridge, but this far from a "carbon copy." I personally am of the opinion that PC Music is too hybrid and amorphous to be "ripped off." How do you rip off a rather diverse group of producers and artists, each with their own distinct voice, who are merely taking music and influences they love from the past and creating mutant hybridized versions of them with the bizarre curatorial and creative sensibility only us millennial internet-denizens could possibly bring to the table? Almost 90% of the sounds and genres they're working with existed long before the words "PC Music" were ever uttered in a Pitchfork Thinkpiece. They just brought what you could call a certain "touch," as well as a very distinct visual identity and playfulness, to already existing cultural and musical material...in my opinion, that is. Don't get me wrong, I've heard wholesale ATTEMPTS at ripping off PC Music, but really they're just copying pieces of the picture – twinkly synths, pitched vocals – in other words, all the stuff we heard about in article after article trying to explain just WHAT PC Music is. But I've still yet to read more than 1 or 2 articles that really get it down...mostly they just highlight the particular musical signifiers being played with by a handful of the collective's members (Cook, SOPHIE), and this is what's being "carbon copied" by so many artists now that the press says it's "cool" or "in vogue" to throw lots of cute twinkly FM chords and cheezy pop melodies into your club tracks. So yeah, this song is definitely on a certain level with PC Music, but only very superficially. I actually suspect that A.G. Cook would be flattered if not impressed by the polish exhibited by the production and songwriting here, not to mention the weirdo tempo change. EDIT: Now on my 3rd listen and I actually dig this a lot, thanks!! hehehe

I think for PC Mus to have influence someone has to copy the concepts of each artist involved cause the genre itself kinda existed on the Internet for a while. More so with Europeans so, at least for me, it makes sense that there are gonna be songs like this from Europeans.

I'm finnish myself, so I'm just curious. And I won't be offended by anything so just go ahead! (There is a lot of garbage music in Finland!) This felt weird tho. It probably has one of the most popular pop singers in Finland right now, Sanni. But the PCM signature is so obvious. I bet this is gonna end up playing a lot in the finnish radio stations and everybody will like it. Ugh...
