I was curious what you guys like in pop music. Like mainstream pop music. I have a general sense of the music we all like which is basically anything. So you guys can list albums and songs and a reason why. Is it the production? Or is it catchy? Is it your fave producer? Do you feel connected to it? I need reasons. I really wanna know. I feel like dissecting pop music is good for the mind.

i'm sorry but there's so much to talk about that i'm stressed to even think about analyzing that. i do like pop music very much, though.

When you boil it down to favs at the moment, the question is a lot easier!
Over the past few months I've been listening to Now That's What I Call Music albums, to increase my Pop Knowledge. All of them (the UK ones at least). I'm up to like 50, and had to take a biiig break a while ago.
Here's a major fav; interestingly, deadmau5 produced it:
Also this! Normally I would think this is gross but Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis produced it, which automatically makes it genius:
& all the key singles off Aqua's Aquarium are significant and great, been bumping them a lot lately. They really had good ideas about what pop is, too bad their entire career wasn't like that

Lol then whats your fave pop song at the moment? at the moment, i could say it's this: she's a braziilian funk-carioca-turned-pop singer, and that's her third album, but the first one with more of a "pop" feel to it. the ones before still had that strong funk carioca vibe

All of these songs are in constant rotation. Some for the lyrics others for the beat but all I find catchy. Also all K-Pop so sorry. EXO - What Is Love Shinee - Replay Teen Top - No More Perfume On You Jay Park - Tonight

Idk if you guys have heard Arianna Grande' new song but it needs a remix. it needs less sax. i didn't like it that much, also. problem and break free are far better singles.

Focus is literally a different version of Pronlem. They're the exact same song. I think the worst part is the drop. That build to it is so nice but then it kind of goes south. It's definitely growing on me but like a remix would be so much better. It'd have to be a really good one though
