this album literally gives me life and death. Kelis usually changes genres every few years. This happns to be my fave she's done.
Ever since ROman Reloaded came out, these were my favorites on the album and still are my favorite songs.
big fan of t-ara and their songs still snatch my edges. Their production and vids are always on point.
this is just the biggest aesthetic and songs and production and everything just so perfect
okay last one. Even though Wynter abandoned pop music, his song is pop gold.

Off the top of my head I think Toxic might be my favorite pop song of all time. I'm just gonna go ahead and say it is, because trying to make a list of frontrunners & rank them would probably give me a headache.
This week I've been listening to:
Side note: does anyone else ever "listen" to songs silently in your head? Like you're just imagining the song is playing but you can hear the whole thing. I do this a lot, especially in class lol.

Call me shallow, but I think this might be my favorite pop song, ever.

So many great suggestions in this thread so far. I've personally been grooving to a lot of Annie recently:
I've also been revisiting Gwen Stefani's back catalog because I feel like I've slept on a lot of her material in general. I see SO MUCH of her influence in Charli's music, especially in the way that they both can so effortlessly wrap their voices around mega-catchy hooks.

They make such a great musical act together. Also love both Gwen Stefani solo albums. Not very keen on her new releases, though. I especially love this remix of "What You Waiting For?". And "Yummy" had so much single potential. It's one of my favorite tracks from her sophomore album.

I think she got 9 critiques so far and based on those 9 her album got a 93. The album is decent imo. My fave on the whole thing is Kill V. Maim. If Bjork got more reviews then the score might be lower.

Metacritic is kind of terrible because it normalizes all ratings to a 100-point scale. Like, 2/4 stars and 50/100 really aren't the same thing but to Metacritic they are.
But whatever the whole idea of assigning arbitrary numeric values to works of art is pretty silly anyway.

Where would 56/100 fit in a 4 star system- just round it to 2/4 stars? The two are not equivalent. Meta-critic also gives equal credence to less well respected reviewers but that'sa matter of personal taste etc.
