I love Carly Rae Jepsen. Apparently she's a big fan of PC Music too Does she comment on them in an interview or something? Would like to see that. Wait, my bad, I mixed up names. There's an interview with Rostam Batmanglij where they talk about Carly Rae Jepsen for a while and then they mention AG Cook and he says that Charli introduced him to Pink and Blue and I guess because they were talking about Warm Blood so much earlier, I misread it as Carly

I can't remember if she's been brought up in this thread or not, but Roisin Murphy's Overpowered is undoubtedly one of my favorite pop albums ever. I love her other two solo albums too, but for the sake of pop music discussion Overpowered is a much more immediate listen than Ruby Blue or Hairless Toys. Apparently she's at work on another album at the moment, so it'll be interesting to see if she continues to delve into more experimental sounds.

There was this bizarre English digital vocalizer around the Myspace era called 'Amber G.' that produced this banger: She lives on in countless AMV's and her back catalogue is available on Spotify and Apple Music ( ?) but none of it is quite as compelling as 'Be In Love' EDIT: Scratch this, some of of it is amazing. It reminds me a lot of Dux Kids.

This song never got the appreciation it deserved. Reminds me of Robyn Dragonette did the vox on Martin Solvieg's "Hello" and I've loved her since. Really fantastic (and better than Robyn, in my opinion.)

yall are forgetting the only girl group that ever mattered
and then after they kicked a girl out into electro pop realness
while we're at it we'll just toss in The Paradiso Girls too
tbh all of this better than the girl groups currently out. i think the only i had faith in was Neon Jungle but they didnt last. here's their vid:
the style in this vid is like my aesthetic. too bad they didnt last. Fifth Harmony slowly getting to their potential.

Omg I can't believe no one has mentioned one of the greatest moments in pop history! Paris Hilton's music career!

BabyBubbles I swear it's been brought up on the board before but this album is way better than it has any right to be. Paris had the money/taste to hire some really good producers and writers and they had their fun with it but also didn't treat it like a joke.

Paris' debut was pretty flawless. Minus Do Ya Think I'm Sexy? I think.
