lol tho admit that the line on the bridge of "stars are blind" where she moans "this moment is critical" is one of the lower points of pop lyricism to date
that said, I would kill for the acapella just to get my hands on that one phrase

Miranda Cosgrove's album is hugely underrated teen pop imo, im listening to it again and love it again
these are prob my favourites, with Disgusting as a special mention - though obv. the Ke$ha demo's better

Those were teen pop gold. And Aly and Aj.

For some reason, Sarina Paris's self titled album was panned by critics but I really like it for the most part. Instrumentals tend to be samey but the melodies are fantastic, and I enjoy the lyrics too. The True Colors cover is awful though.

BabyBubbles I swear it's been brought up on the board before but this album is way better than it has any right to be. Paris had the money/taste to hire some really good producers and writers and they had their fun with it but also didn't treat it like a joke. I also was obsessed with her other single from that album, Nothing In This World. Omg such a bop! I think with Paris for me it was so wrong it was right. Like this spoiled heiress woke up one morning, had a shower and started singing and then was like "wow I should release an album!" and of course had the money to do so, so did. Also it's probably already been mentioned but Nadia Oh's Colours album is something I revisit often and was just so ahead of its time! Wishing she'd make a come back and sign with PC Music.

Anyone here an of Montreal fan? They were my favorite band for years but I stopped listening to them for a long time. Now I've finally gotten back into their discography and good lord are they great. Kevin Barnes is psych-pop genius natural an ear for hooks that's up there with the likes of Paul McCartney and Alex Chilton for me. Satanic Panic, Gay Parade, Hissing Fauna, Cherry Peel, and Skeletal Lamping are all such fantastically catchy and well put-together albums that I can't stand it. Most songwriters are lucky to have one or two solid albums and OM have over a dozen under their belt.

So one of my favorite singers growing was finally able to get her music on iTunes. Her name is Lolene and this album coulda been a bop when she popped up in like 08/09 but labels of course suck so. At least her album is on iTunes and it's amazing.

I just found "Perfect (exceeder)", and it's literally perfect. Maybe even better than the crapface remix.
