Yeah, but FM synthesis is only a small part of the Monomachine and honestly a small part of SOPHIE's sound. He uses the FM machines on the Monomachine a lot in MSMSMSM and Charli XCX's Vroom Vroom, but I honestly don't hear much of it elsewhere. A lot of it is the subtractive synthesis modes on the Monomachine and the sample and waveform based DigiPro machines. What monomachine machines do you hear in Bipp? Specifically the percussive and, well, Bipp-y stuff, I was under the impression that a lot of the textures were FM based Bipp I would wager uses just the DigiPro Wave or DigiPro DoubleDraw with liberal use of the Monomachine Parameter slides. Not only does the Monomachine have 'parameter locks' which let's you change a sound per note or step, but it has a slide function which lets you smoothly transition between different parameters. FM synthesis easily let's you make a lot of metallic-tinged and 'hollow' sounds. Again think 'Vroom Vroom' or 'MSMSMSM'. The bassline sounds like very classic Monomachine DigiPro machines. Keep in mind that the MKII version of the Monomachine allows the user to upload their own custom waveforms, and the DoubleDraw DigiPro machine is like a simplified version of Serum which is wavetable synthesis. I don't really know how SOPHIE got so associated so much with FM synthesis. Sure she uses it a bit, but I would argue that SOPHIE utilizes Wavetable synthesis far more often and is more the key to the 'SOPHIE sound' (you can even see her use Serum in this video at the 1:53 mark). In other Elektron news, in that same video I linked SOPHIE also has an Octatrack and Analog Rytm with the Monomachine not even in sight. I can hear the Analog Rytm a lot in 'Oil of Every Pearl's Un-insides' as well as some Octatrack foolery.

I’m not too familiar with how the Rytm sounds though, where do you hear it on OOEPUI?
