I don't know if it's coming out this year but Björk is doing another album with Arca and I'm really excited. Also read about another version of Kanye's Wolves with her, so I hope that's real.

Omfg the memories. 90% of those songs were bops. I'm surprised Selena Gonez & The Scene weren't on there. They really played Love You Like A Love Song all the time. That was the year of Joe Jonas' album too. 2011 was so lit omg. Omg I remember the VMA's that year was the last interesting VMA's. 2011 music was way better than this past few years. 2014 was okay. 2015 was boring. This year so far has been big for certain artists. 2011 by far had better songs than the past few years. 2013 didn't happen. 2013 was when they started pulling old songs that were charting already in Europe and made them chart in America. I can say there have been good pop albums but they don't pick the best songs from the albums to be singles. They choose random songs now. I feel like 20% of those songs were awful, 50% were mediocre, and 30% were good

I think there was a lot that didn't get charted like S&M remix with Britney, Till The World Ends Remix with Kesha and Nicki, Turn Up The Music Remix with Rihanna, Birthday Cake Remix with Chris Brown. Also loved that RedOne had multiple hits on there. I wonder if he's still a big name even though dance music isn't the mainstream anymore

I LOVE Love You Like a Love Song omg. Still watch that video all the time. Also I am kinda on board with you re: 2010-2012 being better in pop music but I'm like 90% sure that's just nostalgia from me being in college at that time and having good memories associated with certain songs.

But songs like The Lazy Song, Fuckin Perfect, How To Love, and Just A Kiss (along with many others on the list) are awful

@matt YES holy shit I must have listened to it 10 times already. Usually conscious/"woke" music can be so corny but she's able to make such succinct political points without being pretentious. That music video is so powerful too (kinda weird to me that there's effectively only one degree of separation b/w Naomi Campbell and Oneohtrix Point Never now tho lol). The production is def. more balanced b/w the two producers too, I thought 4 Degrees was much more leaning on the Hudson Mohawke side of things. Can't wait for this album
EDIT: fixed a grammar error I made a week ago lol

The Baauer album is fire flames. It's like trap and borderline electronics. It didn't come out yet but I got the leak. PM me for the Dropbox link, if you're interested.
