Slay Z literally slays. It shows everyone different sides of her that people didn't think she had.

I REALLY love Along the Coast. Azealia slays with the rapping and singing throughout the album. I'm not a big fan of the instrumentals on some of the tracks though, like Skylar Diggins or Queen of Clubs, they just feel too generic. I wish she released the acapella to QoC because the vocals and lyrics are SO strong but the instrumental isn't strong enough for her. But it appears that several people on twitter really like that instrumental and the vocals save the song for me. Skylar Diggins would have been so much better over a SOPHIE beat like MaybeSD or www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcKFyNCgXo8I'm okay with the Queen of Clubs instrumental, I just wish it was better. I can see myself skipping Skylar Diggins though. That instrumental is just SO boring. Can't Do It Like Me and Along the Coast are probably the best songs, although I love most of the tracks.

I KNEW I HAD LISTENED TO THE SAMPLE OF "USED TO BEING ALONE" BEFORE!!! SOME BRAZILIAN "PRODUCERS" RIPPED OFF THE ORIGINAL TO MAKE THIS WONDERFUL GEM OF A SONG: I watched that entire video for some reason, and it led me to this one. Prepare for some real thought-provoking social commentary. I absolutely love her and all this rip-off new-brazilian funk aesthetics she and her "company" got going on ♡

Slay-Z is amazing but I wish the songs were finished. I feel like the production is halfway there but then again she wasn't going to release it if her ex-engineer wasn't such a fucking dick head. For some reason I really like Skylar Diggins. The drop could use some bass. I like the garage beat she used on Can't Do It Like Me which was meant for Rihanna. I like Queen of Clubs but it needs a beat drop. Like that lead up is so epic and then it just goes into something else. But it's still popping. Along The Coast is perfect. Giving me mermaid summer vibes. Her song with Rick Ross could be Sophie remixed tbh cause I feel like it's almost there. Riot honestly has mainstream appeal and if she doesn't make a video for it I'll be mad and it has potential to be remixed to the extreme by EDM heads like Dillon Francis or Tiesto.
I really like the SBTRKT's album is really good and chill. Elliphant's album is alright. Her song with Azealia is the best one on the album.
Zayn's album is good but it reminds me of a more alternative version of Chris Brown's album Royalty.
NGHTMRE EP is actually really good surprisingly. Very different from what I was expecting.
Slime Season 3 is okay. Idk why but I was expecting more. Maybe I'm just bored with young thug now cause he releases too much.

Slime Season 3 is okay. Idk why but I was expecting more. Maybe I'm just bored with young thug now cause he releases too much. I feel you. My current opinion on Thugger's post-Barter 6 output (Slime Season 1, 2, I'm Up, and SS3) is that he's literally just recorded so much music in the year and a half since the Rich Gang mixtape (I hear those sessions alone yielded over 100 songs) that he and his management have decided to release as much as possible, while the best songs are being saved up for the inevitable HiTunes release (technically his debut album), which is probably next on the menu. Notice how the first two Slime Seasons were basically track dumps with 18 and 20 songs each, while neither I'm Up nor SS3 had more than 9. Yet all four of these mixtapes were totally mixed bags, I love Thugger but I agree that his sheer amount of output means that not every song stands out as a gem on its own. There's usually a core set of 3 to 8 songs from each release that I can't stop listening to, but I rarely hit play on a whole collection. Of course, I might be wrong and HiTunes might be a similarly mixed bag. But I'm hoping it's more like Barter 6: genius from start to finish.

soundcloud.com/roartheband/03-explosion-of-birds I guess Roar isn't a very well known act, and it probably doesn't help that the Katy Perry song came out just as they were getting started, but it's really fantastic baroque pop. They released 2 really great EPs and are finally coming out with an album. The main (maybe only not too sure) member was one of the singers in Asleep In The Sea, which was a really underrated Unicorns-type early-2000s band: www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_uXNwfiGCcAlso liking the Open Mike Eagle & Paul White album. It's the most laidback Mike's been in a while snd White's production is nuts

I saw Roar when they opened for Andrew Jackson Jihad a few years ago. They played clips from Rosemary's Baby throughout their set, great show.

Idk if you guys have been keeping up with what Anamanaguchi's been doing, but it's pretty crazy. A few days ago Gamespot announced that they're in a game called "Capsule Silence XXIV" and then this morning they went on a twitter rant about the developer and "leaked" the game. The developer of the game was supposedly NHX, which if you weren't aware is the visual/web design company that one of the guys from Anamanaguchi started. They did the website for Maxo's Chordslayer and popcorn_10's Dennis video thing. If you download and beat the game you get a link to a whole bunch of new songs - most of which are under the Capsule Silence XXIV album. Idk if this is them dumping new tracks before the release of a legit album, but it's some of the best stuff they've ever done. I would highly recommend playing the game (http://we.tl/88zwlT52aw), it's super funny and it was developed by one of the guys who made Sonic Dreams Collection and Bubsy 3D. If you just want the new music, DM me. None of the tracks are sequenced so I have no idea how the album's order is supposed to be, but it's really really good. EDIT: oh and for the sake of not de-railing this thread every time I post: I finally got around to listening to Slay-Z! I like it! Idk I'll say more later maybe

Yeah that Anamanaguchi stuff is crazy. People are hypothesizing that its just for press and Gamespot wrote an update about how they think its for press. I hope it is a little rawer than that though
