Hey;
This is an idea I had early in the morning that I'm still not sure about, but I was wondering if the members of this forum feel they would benefit from a sort of Wiki for PC Music? Most of the stuff I can think to go on it is pretty well-collated here and on other sites but it might be a good idea to collect as much useful information that's come to light on the forum there (for example, stuff like that fake Lipgloss Twins album would perhaps be best remembered there)
Basically I just want to run this idea by you guys, I can happily set it up in an afternoon (as much as I'd like to continue the fandom aesthetic I would not be using Wikia) but don't want it to go to waste. I can set it to just be edited by a few trustworthy people at first too. I can provide examples of what I'm thinking if you wish
Thanks

A world as defined by willful obfuscation as that of PC Music and its affiliates would probably benefit from some authoritative database of information, so I'm all for it. Then again: it's defined quite heavily by willful obfuscation, so there's probably more hearsay than concrete information about it. What could be done to combat, say, someone claiming that Hannah Diamond sang on "Bipp"? You know, something that's clearly not true but where the information to refute it is scarce on the ground?

I prefer the obfuscation. Love the idea of new fans in the future having to dive deep into the web to uncover info. But I'm truly all for whatever you decide to do -- we'd definitely be the people to make an accurate Wiki.

For stuff like this, I think the approach to take would be to not go the other way either - even for stuff that does seem likely or has been backed up by the little evidence we have (e.g. Hannah on Bromze and Heaven) it's be best just to present the sources as they are I do miss when this was a tiny bit of the internet to mine but it appears that's over I'm still neutral

I am conflicted on this. One one hand, so much of the fun of the label is (was?) digging for stuff, and already this forum makes it very accessible. Naively exploring the internet is something I cherish and rarely get to do. Rarely have I been as confused as when i was searching for info on PC Music and came across the Patricia Edwards website On the other hand, information wants to be free and I value cataloging data. Maybe it could be filled with references and links that don't quite make sense to a layperson. Like TV Tropes, it would be something you really have to spend time with to understand or have any context. Maybe the label is already like that... Basically I would totally contribute
