The whole ad is fairly awful. Playing up on repetition for the kids who love the gifs on the internet. If they had actually had a PC Music member take a bit of creative control on the ad it could have turned out beautifully, instead it's just a cheap knockoff of the PC Music aesthetic.
Song is great though, I've heard it played out the first time I ever saw SOPHIE about 9 months ago.
Also just wanted to say it's nice to find this community, already downloaded a few gems so thanks to everyone who's put the effort in. Hopefully I'll see a few of y'all around here

Yeah, the ad isn't great visually but the way the song is edited makes it unlistenable. You can't just cut mid-line to a completely different part of the song (when I-as I say) and hope it flows well, and it does that like 3 times. Also not as much a fan of the new first verse but I probably won't be complaining when the full thing comes out
Still, it means both Liz and Sophie are blowing up which is excellent!!

That was amazing! This is a mainstream company y'all! The realest music now is now in the public sphere! Fuck yes. Progress!

Wasn't there a Westfield youtube ad that used Nothing More to Say? I've seen people ask about it on yahoo answers and stuff, but I haven't been able to find the actual video

It's kind of surprising to me that Samsung would be willing to use a song like this in their advertising. Sonically it makes sense, but I would think that the thinly-veiled BDSM lyrical themes would be off-putting to a marketing exec. Still absolutely love this track, though, and it'll definitely be interesting to see if this helps further PC Music's penetration into the mainstream.

^ I thought the same thing. The lyrics in this version are more "radio friendly" though. Hopefully this doesn't mean they cut the original verses because I loved those and thought it flowed much better

Is there another version of this floating around that has anywhere near as good audio quality?

just read on this fader link: www.thefader.com/2015/06/02/pc-music-samsungUPDATE 6/2/15 7:51 P.M.: SOPHIE's publicist tells The FADER that the song "has literally zero connection to PC Music, and SOPHIE had nothing to do with the Samsung advertisement. This is purely a licensing advertisement for the song by Liz." The track, titled "When I Rule the World," will officially be released on Columbia Records in the coming months.

lol. Sophie's publicist is very right to point that out - this is just a Liz song being licensed for use in an advert. The Sophie production and PC Music connection is beside the point. Music writers should know this though. That's how the music industry works - getting a sync isn't part of a grand conceptual narrative. Artists rarely even have anything to do with whether their music gets used, they just have to approve it (and given the huge paychecks involved, it's rare that they'll decline). But why let common sense and a working knowledge of the music industry get in the way of 'the discourse' eh?
