Oh my goodness yes. tbh I was ready to write it off after the first 2 verses and choruses but as soon as it went into the bridge the whole thing just clicked. Love how the lyrics develop over the course of the song, Hannah and A.G. have done it again folks
I also love how jarring the contrast is between the video and the lyrics. The song itself is this incredibly unsure, hopeful, even lonely yearning for connection, but then the video is pure eye candy without a hint of sadness or insecurity: Hannah looking at herself in the mirror, Hannah in her perfectly styled bedroom looking absolutely stunning, Hannah takes the runway with incredible confidence and poise – there's almost nothing but Hannah in this video, eyeing the camera, signing her own name in a notebook...the video comes across to me as having this intense narcissism, a world where ONLY HANNAH EXISTS AND GOD DAMN DOES SHE LOOK GOOD, which clashes so interestingly with how personal and other-oriented the lyrics are, and all the stuff about social media in there too I mean just WOW
But then in the last shot the act just DROPS and we get a glimpse of the "real" Hannah: nervous, excited, making that connection we've been waiting for the whole time!!
AND YET it's still super ambiguous because even though she's made the connection she still looks up into the camera, acknowledging the gaze of the viewer...SO MUCH GOING ON HERE!!!
Ok I'm done time to watch for the 2nd time

IT'S A GROWER (the percussion pick-up in the second half and the melody in the chorus are like, definitely pop-radio ready/Spotify pop-playlist ready)

ugh this makes me feel so happy and proud of how far Hannah has come! she started out as this shy little photographer and in this video she's walking down a red carpet with smile on her face <3

Hi oh my god it's so good to see you! There's been a lot of times where the board has found an excuse to say "this marks a real turning point for PC Music" and I don't think this particular one will end up standing out all that much from the other instances (for one thing I can't really imagine this showing up on pop radio anytime soon), but wow it still feels really nice doesn't it? I had that usual moment of "maybe it's not going to work this time" hesitancy at first since it's lately taken awhile for new PC releases to get all their hooks/ducks in a row, but by the time it hit the chorus I was sold. Floored, really - as mentioned that little unexpected chordal turn partway through is just a rush of feelings, and furthermore the kind of songwriterly trick that just doesn't show up often enough anymore. Forget ZTT comparisons - for those few seconds Hannah and A.G. are warping the music-blog listeners back to a Paul Williams variety show appearance. "WRITING MESSAGES" aahhh And austinjamesrobinson - show me a Kidz Bop song with production like this! Really, the primary thing holding Kidz Bop back is that their team makes instrumentals like "Blame" sound like they were made in 2006 for a Newgrounds flash game (and, well, their complete moratorium on even the most vaguely sexual of lyrics, but that kinda goes with the territory, and can even be part of the charm if the people doing the Spoonerisms are feeling inspired that day). A.G. does an amazing job of selling the "Attachment, but with a happier face" vibe - and really overall the whole thing feels like the "Attachment" to "Every Night"'s "Pink And Blue".

This is a good song. Could a nice person send it to me? I'd rather have it on my PC than listen to it on Spotify.

Someone was talking about how cool a Product video album would be in another thread, but I'd like one for this album. Especially because the Every Night visuals at Pop Cube were also impressive
