Has nothing to do the song, but the exact same thing happened to me Not sure of my opinion of the remix yet though, but that could be just underwhelming source material, remix-wise An original Charli x A. G. song would be great probably

A trial run for his work on her next album, I'm guessing? It's nice, though I wish he had let the beat come in a little earlier than 45 seconds before the end. The chords are lovely, and play the song for an unexpected bit of drama. The description also seems to imply that it'll be getting some sort of official release, which is a new-ish development for A.G. Cook remixes that I haven't entirely gotten used to yet. It's supposed to be out on February 8th, but the preorder link (smarturl.it/DoingIt) currently just links to Charli's album.

I remember when I first got Sucker (the new charli xcx album) Doing It really stuck out from the rest of the songs! The original is really good (I prefer the album version which doesn't include Rita Ora). I also wish the beat came in a little early, I really like the remix but I feel like it could've used just a tiny bit more "oomph" factor LOL.

Silly me, this actually rules. I was expecting it to be harder hitting but the structure is perfect
I expect the release (if that indication isn't just a generic Ctrl-V thing) would just be a remix EP / digital bonus track thing like his How to Dress Well one but either way that's good news

Yea the composition on this is tops! Echo some sentiments on the beat coming in really late, but I'm really not complaining. It's actually kind of cool how he restrains himself while still exploring these different ways to spin the melody. It really gets better on every listen.

The lack of beats during that section is my favorite part! Drama through the chord changes, getting lost in the syncopation, etc.

Plenty of gorgeous synth sounds here! Wondering if there's some sort of label-imposed thing about leaving the vocals intact in the remixes though. Way too many opportunities to chop up the vocals here or screw with them like the HTDW remix. Anyway, if he just wanted all the attention on the interplay of synth and vocals he did a good job.
