Do y'all know how to create/get that really pure, nice, marimba-ish sound that AG Cook often uses as well as that high, punchy synth? The sounds I'm looking for are both in the Doing It (feat. Rita Ora) (AG Cook Remix) (https://soundcloud.com/charlixcx/charli-xcx-ft-rita-ora-doing-it-ag-cook-remix). The synth comes in at 00:19, and the marimba sound comes in at 01:07. I'm fairly new to production and have no idea where to start looking. Thanks so much! I use Ableton btw

I'm guessing he used Spire to create the chords around the 19 sec mark but you can achieve this on any soft synth really. A.G. does layer a marimba/glockenspiel preset (, either from the Korg M1 or Wavestation,) on top of the infamous "PL - Sonic" preset in Spire to create the melody line at the beginning of the track.

(Sorry to post so much to this thread guys) The discontinued Native Instruments Synth 'Pro-53' was used to make the lead sound in the Dux Content Remix of Loreen's Euphoria. The preset is "Strange Sequence MW." *Edit - The preset "Chatterbox" was used for the chords in AG's Chuckii Booker - Games remix. This synth itself sounds fantastic out of the box and since it is discontinued it's basically fair game.* No need 2 b sorry! I love this stuff

Some of A.G. and Danny's material contains samples from the infamous Vengeance sample packs. The DJ Warlord MEAT Mix contains the "Vocal Phrase 062" from the Vocal Essentials Volume 1 pack. Both the Tank Mix and In My Dreams contain "Downsweeps 61" from the Effects Volume 2 pack.
The plugin chipsounds was used also in some early Dux Content material.

years of wavetable synthesis It's actually really easy in sylenth, I'll make a tutorial video sometime Any idea how to do it in Serum? It sounds really simple for me. I was playing around with sine waves and reverb filter and made something similar yet it wasn't exactly what I meant :/

Adjust the LPF cutoff to about 75% (idk the percent in serum so just play around until you find it. Use reverb but make sure the "dry" part of the sound is silent. Keep the wet part of the sound. Remove any pre-delay. Make the room size as small as possible. I don't know if this works in serum though.

can anybody recommend a good (possibly free) pitch shifter? the ones in logic suck ass I can relate from an Ableton point of view as well . I haven't used it personally, but I've seen "Manipulator" by Polyverse used well. It costs and it doesn't seem to have a demo, but I'm assuming there might be ways around the price to try it out.

can anybody recommend a good (possibly free) pitch shifter? the ones in logic suck ass try out audiowish's octave shifter 2!! its a pretty simple plugin, but it gets the job done better than logic's stock one. completely free! www.audiowish.com/audio-units/octave-shifter.htmlmake sure to bounce the audio afterwards though, the real time rendering is pretty bad
