THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS! They took it down from the BBC1 site, and I was so sad because this interview is genius! Especially the "I'm not really into remixes." Since SOPHIE as we know has done quite a few remixes. But hearing that crazy processed voice say "I'm making some new melodies, synthesizing some new sounds, thinking about words and materials, and then shaking it up and making it fizz. You know what I mean?" Is the absolute best!

and I think his "it's dance-pop music, just like everything else" could clear up a few things on our bubblegum bass thread

Is the absolute best! heh it's not actually a processed voice, if I remember correctly it's an overdub from Sophie's niece, which is way more fun. It's definitely his voice going through a modulator.

Yeah, I was going to say... That's cool if he went to the trouble of having a niece or whatever field interview questions, but it was most likely just his voice processed. The voice in the interview does NOT sound very 'human'.

doesn't it look like he's describing the process of producing "Hey QT"? Or it literally uses a line from his unreleased song "Fizz"?

it just sounds like any voice processed by like three different ~voice processor thingies~. for all you guys know it could be me talking to them.

I figured it was a young girl and then Sophie jazzed it up a little. The voices are always so heavily compressed and effected on the BBC radio shows it's really funny. I love these masculine EDM guys interviewing Sophie.
