I love the track! A.G. played a few minutes of this at Vulcan during SXSW, heard it in my head for weeks.
EasyFun told me there that Thy Slaughter was him and A.G. Maybe they've grown though.

Pride Jagten Limits of Control Drive (i think the Queen Latifah one is either "Taxi" or "Last Holiday". seeing that she's in a taxi, i think it's fair to say it's "Taxi")

Any ideas as to what IDL means? Well, given that the name "Life Sim" would appear to refer to a "Life Simulator" of some sort, then one could infer that IDL is a take on IRL, but standing for In Digital Life instead of In Real Life. Also holy shit that Thy Slaughter remix. Now I've been thinking a bit about identities and have come to some tentative conclusions. Bear with me. - I suspect Life Sim is a single individual, and not a collaboration. For one thing, the sound is so singular and and consistent (down to the synth patches) across Life Sim's songs. Second, there is a tendency towards minimalism in Life Sim's output: while multiple individuals can obviously collaborate on a minimalist sound, I'm thinking of the Tank interview where Cook talks about co-producing stuff with Danny, and how 2 people working together made it easier to create a layered, maximalist production very quickly. This is my weakest point but when I hear Life Sim songs I suspect that they are the work of a single individual rather than two producers bouncing ideas off one another. Compare IDL to its remix and you'll see what I mean. Finally, the email listed for Life Sim at pcmusic.info is the name of a single individual: finn@pcmusic.info - Next: we know easyFun is Finn Keane. But the contact info listed on pcmusic.info is hello@pcmusic.info. The plot thickens. - Obviously there are two Finns involved in PC Music: EasyFun and Finn Diesel aka Finn McTaggart. I suspect the latter Finn is Life Sim, mainly because it would make the most sense for him to have his own email address at PC Music. After all, I believe he and Cook split the labor as far as running the label goes, his role is a bit more significant than most of the other artists involved so I think it would make sense for him to have his own email registered to the domain. - Lastly, I suspect Thy Slaughter is easyFun, Danny L Harle AG Cook. Three individuals are visible in the Dead Or Alive video. One is obviously Cook (drums). Also, just listen to that IDL remix. You can hear those rubbery, distorted synths all over easyFun's stuff, then there's the (possibly live-recorded) orchestral and organ sounds that just scream Danny. Just my 2¢. Totally obsessed with the new stuff and hope we get some more soon...

interesting (maybe) that in the version SOPHIE played at the Tate Britain show, the vocal says 'Dearly Beloved' rather than I.D.L. Maybe someone can figure out the connection!

I really enjoy this music video but it really does remind me of a preview you'd find at the beginning of a DVD. Like I was expecting at the end of the video to be a logo and voiceover saying "At Fox Searchlight Pictures we do emotion better than anyone else"

One of the films is Twilight Saga: New Moon. The scene is where Kristen Stewart is laying on the forest floor in a yellow rainjacket after Robert Pattinson leaves her in the woods.

This has rapidly grown to be an obvious top-tier PCM tune. Life-affirming.
