I'm almost positive that this guy has exerted some influence on PC Music, especially GFOTY. Her entire persona seems like it could easily belong in one of his films. Both of their work exists in a very disorienting and confused space and deals with issues of identity, gender, and the internet in an over-the-top manner bordering on being extremely grotesque. The way they use re-pitched dialog, depictions of erratic behavior, non-linear structures, and hyper-real depictions of girliness and femininity seems very similar to me. Just listen to to the Secret Mix and then check out one of his many movies to see the resemblance. soundcloud.com/pcmus/gfoty-secret-mixvimeo.com/trecartin

"I have a real affinity with the intense creative worlds of people like Ryan Trecartin and Tim and Eric, or cultural "prototypes" like Max Headroom and Pee Wee Herman, but it's all related to the playful approach towards technology and complexity that I had as a child."

I really think of their music as the audio equivalent to what he does in so many ways, so that makes sense.
