So I'm conscious of how often I repeat myself w/r/t piracy on the main PC board, and I don't like doing it and nobody likes hearing it, so I figured it'd probably be best to publish a sticky in the main forum covering all bases. But that would be undemocratic, so I figured I'd ask you guys for input first.
Basically, here's what I have in 5 minutes:
1. Be sensitive - it is alright to have a negative opinion about something, and the boards encourage discussion, but do not attack any element of race, sexuality, gender, etc. Bearing in mind a good portion of the forum do belong to minorities, these are not naughty words in themselves, but hatefulness - whether towards another member of the boards or not - will not be tolerated.
2. Piracy - do not post download links to work that is on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, other digital retailers, etc. or will be in the forseeable future. This puts the entire forum in jeopardy and can be seen as disrespectful to the original artists. Note that download links to rare stuff not necessarily covered by copyright (such as bootlegs or mixes), as well as Soundcloud, YouTube links, are all fine, but otherwise take it elsewhere. If a link that is breaking the law is posted in public I'll probably just remove the post.
TBH these are like the only two I'm fussed about enforcing currently but I thought I'd throw it out there. Even if nobody reads it I think it's not a bad idea to have it out there, but if anything needs to be addressed now's your time.

Did something happen to make you enforce your first "rule"? I personally didn't see no one attacking anyone based on these things. I mean, it's a good rule. I'm just curious.
