I know, as a very active member of What.cd since about 2009 I feel very lost. I feel like the Spotifys of the world has won. I have been a staunch defender of maintaining my own iTunes library of millions of files for year and years. The majority of that was from music I owned on CD and ripped myself, but What.cd was an invaluable resource to discover new music. I probably wouldn't have discovered PC Music and SOPHIE et al as easily if I never had access to What.cd
I hope something as good appears in its place. But I'm just saddened that I will probably have to work hard again to get access to whatever rises in What.cd's place.
I am so sad... November 2016 certainly has been a fucking riot...

and I had JUST made it to power user too! Spotify definitely has an impressive library but it will never replace having my own files. Soulseek is cool but it lacks the oversight and community features.
I'm worried about my other private trackers as well. PTP has been down for days.
I guess this is just part of the game. RIP
