if I could just wrap this up with a little bow, I would like to say honestly that everyone on here is ahead of the curve. your on a site that celebrates the anti-norm counter culture and your pretty dope for being aware. having said that, if you think even for a second that everyone on here doesn't want to be Sophie, well your a diluted idiot and you don't belong here in the first place because you are prob the troll that will steal their sound in the most overt and self serving manner.
so just consider this; we all love it, we all wanna make it; respect PCM and each other and just make amazing art. PCM is an archetype for beauty in our generation. don't be afraid to open your daw and make PCM inspired art. it was given to us as a gift.
also the sheer mention of someone saying "your ripping off Sophie" dilutes Sophie's work. if you think you can open fruity loops and truly match sophie's sound, you are 100% wrong and I wanna fight you. sophie crafted that sound over years and even if u use the exact same instrument, and practices, it will never meet that level of emotion. its protected by genuine effort over time. I love all of you.

He's just the first one to apply it to pop music. lol fm has been used in pop music as early as like the 80s... just no one took a hyperimpressionistic approach to designing with it cuz fm only came in the form of performance synths until fm+ and VSTs for fm came around, which are far more flexible |
