Finally got around to hearing Rhythm Nation 1814 after reading A.G's glowing praise for it. The interludes, ballads, and topical lyrics don't do it for me, but otherwise it's loaded with massive bangers. Reminds me of the industrial I love like Skinny Puppy and Front Line Assembly but with a heavy dose of funk and pop added. The bass on this tune could scramble ovaries.

Tbh I think Velvet Rope and Control are much better than Rhythm Nation. Haven't given Janet a full listen but I do like a lot of the tracks off of it. The stuff that OPN and fka Twigs are working on is giving me a big Velvet Rope vibe. - this is still the most next-level track of all time

My fave Janft track is Feedback (I don't know much about her). omg we finally agree on something Feedback, Rock Wit U, Make Me (Move) were ahead of their time. High key though you guys should look into her more, she's had a love of amazing music.
