this is happening soon!
"A felicita debut live show featuring: a play with Chlo, frenemies arrangements, seashells, Kero Kero pop-medley, balloon drops, wi-fi integration, football smell.
Lipgloss Twins appear as real-life humans in the ICA bar.
Lil Data takes over your smartphones."

did anyone go to this who can write up what actually happened? (especially wrt the "gimmicks" of the performance like hacking) I was very interested in going. There didn't seem to be much energy in the room, judging by Whybray's vines

So the Lipgloss Twins aspect was AG and Lil Data maybe DJing/maybe just playing a prerecorded set in the ICA bar (with a fishtank with motorised fish in it in front of the decks, which was inarguably quite sick), the Lil Data app was a limited edition webpage (I'll add a pic of the cards he was giving out that showed you how to access it) and even though it was a bit buggy on me and my mate's phone Lil D was nice enough to give my friend his phone to see how the full thing. The usual PC Music heads were all about (Sophie and Hayden Dunham rolled up together and seemed completely conscious of the fact they the most unconsciously cool people in the room), Bip Ling was also there and so was Mssingno. Felicita's actual set was a standard laptop deal, he played that up by wandering around pretending to be on his phone while his tunes played. The play aspect was interesting, basically involved two performers coming onstage to deliver spoken word parts/sing while he manipulated the voices live. The stage was covered in balloons and that stuffed toy tiger from the Tails artwork. The vocalists came and went throughout the set. After 25 minutes the smoke machines were going full blast and so was the strobe, like full-on Dean Blunt levels of smoke and strobe. He'd mostly played new tracks/messed with versions of Frenemies stuff (as far as I could tell). 30 minutes in he started playing an amazing remix of what I think was KKB's Picture This which was followed by KKB running on stage. Gus and Jamie were shining lights on different things and Sarah was recording a vlog on her camera, taking pics of the crowd and the stage and getting people pumped up. They did a variation on their standard set with Sarah bringing out props and stuff but this time Gus was playing some live drums as well as the drum machines and I don't know if Jamie was actually playing anything? It was hard to see. Actually they did a full guitar-bass-drums-vocals arrangement of a track I didn't recognise (Gus drumming, Jamie on bass and another guy on guitar) which ended with the guitarist fake-storming off stage. Gus then started doing a mini Kane West set where he dropped Good Price while pretending to scratch on some decks and Sarah sung/rapped a new vocal line instead of doing the random word shouts from the original. That was cool. Lots of people seemed to have left during their set I think. They ended after fifteen minutes and Sarah laid down under a flamingo blanket and pretended to fall asleep on stage, Felicita came back on and played 15 more minutes of noisy/dancey stuff that was easily some of the best stuff of the night. Sarah "woke up" and left when the monologuing vocalist came back out to talk about giving blood to get skinny (I think?) and then everyone came out and took a bow before all leaving. Oh and Gus was wearing football gear the whole night.

the lounge music cover was small town. the guitarist was an old friend of gus's who's apparently an incredibly talented jazz guitarist. felicita gave out like a dozen vinyls at the end of the night for free. great turn out overall and very friendly vibes

LOL Bip Ling. I didn't know she was related to this scene at all. That's really cool thanks so much for the right up I think she's friends with Sophie and maybe some of the PC Music crew. She was at Popcube & seems to be friends with Louby McLoughlin who I saw in the crowd at SXSW and who has styled QT and Charli XCX. I've wondered whether the song title for BIPP might have anything to do with Bip Ling...
