-Hey there. I'll be visiting New York City for 1st time in my life this May the 23h 'till May the 30th. Yes, I'm super excited about everything. I open this thread so we can speak about PC Music (and related , or not) stuff happening around New York, PCM friendly exhibitions or things like that.. Today it will be useful for me , tomorrow for other people. -I would also like to know which art galleries, restaurants, beautiful places would you recommend me to go apart from the mainstream ones which I'll obviously visit <3 . -Last but not least : If anyone is willing to show me around would be perfect. I love meeting new people and stuff (PS: I'm coming to play with my not-pcmusic band Jessica & the Fletchers but I didn't want to spam about it. Anyway I think it's not bad to tell I'll be playing sweet/cute noise pop on the Alphaville venue on Wednesday the 27th and in the Cameo Gallery May the 29th as part of New York Popfest. My friends Papa Topo will be there too <3) (PS2 : fantasma 404error perhaps you know anything?)

The new Whitney Museum that just opened on the west side of downtown manhattan is pretty fantastic. They got a show goin on called "America Is Hard To See" that's a timeline of American contemporary art in the last hundred or so years that's well worth your time. As far as a PC Music connection, the show's got a ton of pop art and a couple pieces that have a connection. There's collection.whitney.org/object/20588, a section called "Music, Pink and Blue" (http://i.imgur.com/U9mFI6Q.png), as well as some Jeff Koons vacuum cleaners from The New. You could go to the bar where the Pop Cube after party was. www.tropical128nyc.com/home.html

the pop cube after party bar is kind of awful tbh... it is decidedly not PCM related.
