Kinda weak for Danny "Dick N The Pants" Harle but it's always nice to expand my library

I hate to say it, but this is the least-inspired Harle remix I've heard so far He didn't really seem to do much creatively with the source material outside of adding some trademark Huge Danny synths. After the incredible Dux Content song we got a few days ago, though, I don't feel like complaining too much.

I like this a lot better than Snow Globe (don't vibe with the vocals). This is rad! Never heard the original though.

Definitely into this one. Not Huge Danny's best but an inspiring indication of things to come. I just know I've heard it before, maybe in QT's set when she opened for A.G./Sophie at the Echoplex 2 months ago?
Snow Globe has a number of interesting moments, but the "infinite buildup" approach kinda falls flat there, imo. They make such brilliant use of in songs like Bronze or the unreleased A.G. remix of Broken Flowers (quickly becoming my favorite AG tune next to the unreleased "My Girl" track), but in Snow Globe I feel like there's just not enough energy carrying the song forward to justify all the different sections they work into the song. Feels kinda sluggish, I dunno.
That said, I think it's interesting to look at Snow Globe and this Danny remix as representative of two recurring poles in the PC aesthetic: on the one hand, top40/EDM chart-pop is on the dissection table, it's having its tropes and cliches torn apart and gruesomely sewn together before your eyes (think GFOTY, Broken Flowers rmx, Moose by Dux Content) – but then on the other hand, there are a lot of genuine attempts at just MAKING pop, meeting Max Martin and Stargate &c. on their own turf, definitely with a sense of humor or playfulness (2nd EasyFun EP, Hannah Diamond, this Danny remix here), but really trying to do justice to what AG talks about in that first interview, how the difference between big-budget commercial pop and amateur bedroom stuff is getting blurrier and blurrier. Like, they'll drop something as fucking weird as Snow Globe, then put out this totally polished stuff a week later.
I dunno, I think this is a really interesting tension in PC Music that I'm obviously not the first person to point out, but songs like this Danny remix seem like deliberate efforts to flex the "accessible" side of these artists; for all their art-school sensibilities that I love, if they're trying to make music a lifelong career I think it's actually really smart of them to put out stuff like this, that's not terribly kooky or avant-garde or self-aware, but that you could hear on a mall playlist or mix into Calvin Harris. Opens a lot of doors for them collaboratively. tho maybe 1 day the radio will play only lipgloss twins and Felicita, and Ellie Goulding will have only a cult following of aging millenials...
tl;dr - HUUUUUUUUUGE Danny, this summer...this is...your summer!!!! **explosion, skeleton, etc**

I'll go to bat for this song. Anyone got a DL better than the soundcloud rip?
