I have no problem with the fact that SOPHIE wasn't mentioned or attached to that article, or most articles about this video. Madonna needs to seriously grow the fuck up, IMO. I like the song (ish..?) but I wouldn't call the difference in production styles between the SOPHIE parts and the Diplo parts a very "audio-aesthetically" Pleasing juxtaposition. Don't get me wrong, I like both producers on their own (SOPHIE more) and I'm fine with songs having vastly different build-ups and drops. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fd8YojAaICU Like this! I guess something about the whole thing puts me off in a way I can't really vocalize

Honestly, this is one of my least favourite SOPHIE releases. I hate to say it coz I love him so much (it might just be the Diplo-ness of the track idk) I just really dislike this song. I respect Madonna heaps, she's a legend and a trail blazer (I mean she's the first mainstream star to work with a bubblegum bass producer) butttt I'm really not feeling it at all, most of her new releases are pretty eh actually. And all the celeb cameos seem forced to make this a "viral vid" or like more of a big deal than it is, like most of the celebs aren't even pysically in the vid but yeah it's like beyonce has now kinda worked with SOPHIE and so has katy perry and miley and all these crazy people like? ?

Madonna is trying so hard to be relevant it's almost sad. This is like when a parent says "yeah, I'm down with the hippity-hop." And the diplo trap/edm by numbers style drop is just the icing on the poo cake. It seriously reminds me of my aunt in her late 50s early 60s. Sophie is still untouchable imo.

C'mon SOPHIE should've been in the video, wouldn't that have been surreal? It would've been even more awesome if Sophie's cameo would be him entirely lip-syncing Nicki Minaj's part, now THAT would've been the best video ever made!

I guess something about the whole thing puts me off in a way I can't really vocalize I actually think the juxtaposition of the two sounds works in the context of the song, I mean it's not anything on the level of quality that SOPHIE's other stuff has, imo, but play this at your average party and it's probably gonna work WAY better than your average SOPHIE tune. Lots of music has that kind of awkwardly squished together "bassy drop section" and "hype buildup section," I've seen it fail way in far bigger ways than this song. I dunno, I think this is a genuinely interesting example of what SOPHIE + big stars is gonna sound like. Nicki Minaj is on point here as usual. Not my favorite tune of the summer by any means but have you heard a pop artist make any songs with an outro as totally insane as this one?? That last 20 seconds kind of justifies the whole tune for me, that sound design kind of just screams SOPHIE and it was a bold move on Madonna's part to work it so seamlessly into whatever it is she's doing here ...tho I really only replied to this post to say that Teeth by Shlohmo has been the jam for years now and I love that pc music fans have his early stuff on their radar.

SHlo uses textures in an awesome way. PCM also uses textures in an awesome way, albeit a much different style.

I hate to go along with all of this bullshit sexist ideology about what "women of a certain age" should or should not be doing, or wearing or saying - or who they should or should be kissing - but I can't help but watch this and cringe. Madonna used to be so irreverent, and layered and post-feminist cuetheartist.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/madonna-jesn-paul-gautier-outfit.jpg and now I can't tell if she's serious or not? Is this a joke??? I don't blame Sophie for steering clear of this one.

I think I like the demo version of this (the leaked one) a bit better. Not a huge fan of the song at this point, I wonder what a Sophie VIP would sound like.

That last 20 seconds kind of justifies the whole tune for me I also really like the outro, I remember hearing it in some mix a while ago and not realizing it was part of the song but really liking how they went together. And I love Nicki (when she's rapping). I'd be happy if the Diplo drop part was just removed entirely though lol. Just like in the Diplo Hey QT remix... I would like that song if it wasn't for that drop. It's just way too generic sounding.

More than a sexist thing I think it is a authenticity thing. I doubt her energy is coming from a true place on inspiration and self-expression. "More of a place of "please let me be famous for 15 more min, ill do anything."
I know shes widely regarded as a great post-modern, post-feminist artist, so it's sad to see her grasping at straws here. Growing older as a pop star can't be easy.

Ever since she called her album MDNA and asked a festival crowd about Molly, she has seemed like every action she has taken has been very deliberate. She doesn't feel real at all, and she isn't as interesting as she once was.

I have always thought the verse melody (which I think is SOPHIE) is soo amazing
it would have been crazy to see SOPHIE in this video but it seems like he doesn't want his face in videos/photos and prefers to use other imagery
