I think most of the points were valid except for the one saying that he said what he did to say he was gay. That's terrible, honestly. I'm gay, quite a few of us are gay, and it's not okay to blame wrongdoings on someone's sexual orientation. It's equivalent to a straight guy saying something similar about Spinee; sexual orientation has nothing to do with it. For the record I did think it was creepy, but it would be forgivable if a real apology was made, not the "I'm sorry that you were offended" apology, but the guest blaming the incident on his homosexuality was just as wrong (if not more). Basically everyone is being ridiculous. Yes it's creepy and if I were Sophie I would hate the objectification as well, but don't act as an asshole as a response. Try to be understanding and also, apologize when you know you need to. Even if you don't feel sorry, sometimes it's better to give a genuine apology, rather than trying to justify a wrongdoing. I'd like to wake up tomorrow to a peaceful, happy thread. Please for god sake, this is the first thing I check in the morning to see if Sophie released the new singles. Those are two sides of the same coin. You'd get creeped out, I'd get flattered. That's why I said it. And I can't be an hypocrite and apologize for something I don't see as offensive. The best thing I can do, and did, is saying that I am sorry if I offended someone, because I really am. I'm not trying to purposely offend people. But if not even that is enough, I don't see the point anymore of trying to hide the fact that simply "I don't care". You guys took one exaggerated compliment (I get that's not a proper thing to say to a girl, but me, as a gay guy, know that in fact some other gay guys would get the compliment) and tried to make a monster out of me. I don't care, being a monster is fun, but at least make me a monster for the things I deserve to be called for, not for some stupid joke. I already tried to end this topic three times, if I'm not mistaken. Could we move on, please?

it would be best if we drop the topic, this is spiraling into something like the Henrik the Artist thread

I'm not going to ban u, but if you could please be a little more mindful of what u choose to post in the future. I think everyone has brought up valid points so I trust u to use your better judgement now now seriously back to Sfire. Why isn't this project hyped more? It's so good " You're really saying this is a valid point? Y'all are acting like PC Music need to be defended in this way. There are way more weird comments out there about people on PC Music like on twitter and shit. There was a much better and polite way to deal with this than the way it was handled like multiple people saying Mthws just said what he did to say he was gay...which is a stupid and awful thing to say. Don't be that damn rude to him because you guys are all scared SOPHIE is gonna read it and disapprove of this forum...I'm sure he's had weirder things said to him and also I'm pretty sure him not taking a lot pictures has more to do with his whole stupid "music shouldn't be about identity" shit than being scared queer people are gonna say he's attractive/other sexual things. Actually when I was replying to mthws I hadn't read any of the posts after his post. I don't agree with Bubbling's comments and find their antagonistic replies troublesome.

so hm, like, what is sfire? Sfire is a collaboration between Jeffrey Sfire and SOPHIE. I finally got around to checking the previews for Sfire 6/7 and they're really great! Can't wait for the release.

I would totally fuck mthws until my dick fell off!
Damn some people in here really blow things out of proportion.
Edit: And I'm not even gay

mthws is a nice guy who just gets carried away and this thread would have been over with if bubbling hadn't shown up to be a cunt for no reason, again, while accusing others of wanting attention (and being weirdly homophobic). The rest of this seems like a bunch of finger wagging sanctimony. I think mthws gets the point, and I think 3+ pages of hand wringing is unnecessary (yes I know I'm adding to it). n e waaaayyyz.... he "new" Sfire is really good, hoping we'll get more music from Donna Haraway under that name... ok I just really really want that yeah yeah song I love pop Sophie but I love the darker sounds he works with here and on a few of his current-era tracks too maybe even more!

I love the darker sounds he works with here and on a few of his current-era tracks too maybe even more! Funny that you got a "dark" feeling from these, the 80s synths are very bright for me. Definitely get a dark vibe from the unreleased tracks we've been hearing though. Sfire6 is maybe a little too 80s for my liking but I like 7 a lot. I kept expecting vocals to kick in for some reason though.
