Who is Max Martin? Maybe you've read his name before, maybe you know him as the dude who broke Britney through with "Hit Me Baby One More Time" and who probably wrote a couple other famous songs, or maybe you have no idea who he is and couldn't care less. Sure, he's not the only chart-topping mega-producer/songwriter out there, but as far as chart-topping mega-producer/songwriters go, he's kind of the best. Or the most successful, or prolific, or whatever. In any case, his influence on PC Music can't be understated (A.G. especially) – to say nothing of his influence on the last 2 decades of pop music! Whether you're a longtime fan always keeping an eye out for that "M. Martin" credit whenever a new hit tops the charts, or a total novice to the works of this brilliant human, I think this list from earlier this year will interest you. Definitely one of the best and most concise retrospectives of his work I've seen so far. Lots of surprises for me, actually! Had no idea he did "Domino" by Jesse J. So cool how his production style's evolved over the years, even though the melodies and hooks are still brutally catchy! What's ur fav Max Martin jam? ( here's a good list) Mine's a tie between "Tearin Up My Heart," "Since U Been Gone," and "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." But it's kinda hard to choose hehehe

I was OBSESSED with the Backstreet Boys growing up. They were my introduction to music in general. I still think a lot of their songs have held up over time, especially the Max Martin ones. "I Want It That Way", "Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely", and "As Long As You Love Me" are all great songs covered in the perfect amount of glittery boy band schmaltz. The man's body of work is staggering. It's hard to find a major pop artist from the last twenty years who hasn't had at least ONE Martin-penned hit, and his consistency is unparalleled. From the last few years, I really enjoyed Kelly Clarkson's "My Life Would Suck Without You" which is like a sugary roller-coaster pop overload in a similar way to what many of PC Music's songs are. All the tracks he worked with Taylor Swift on for 1989 are probably the best things he's been associated with lately, especially the brilliant "Blank Space." And it goes without saying that Ariana Grande's "Break Free" is great as well and an amazing pairing. Zedd has a great ear for huge, uplifting chords and melodies, which work well with Martin's supernatural pop sensibilities. easyFun's remix is still better, though

Anything he did for Britney. I think his work with people like Katy Perry is really good. His work with Ke$$ha is good, I love the song Hungover. I love the songs Va Va Voom and Masquerade he did with Nicki. Especially Va Va Voom cause that song is so infectious and fun. Even though Dr.Luke produced it, it's Martin's lyrical sense that makes it awesome. That chorus is amazing.
