Maybe they should consider realistic pricing on Pro accounts.

Honestly idk what I'd do if soundcloud shut down. I think I'd just die.

I wonder how this is going to change how PC Music distributes music. Do u think they'll add all of their old stuff to iTunes or use Bandcamp?

Maybe they should stop taking down random stuff for copyright without warning and giving them strikes. Stuff that if you contacted the user would be voluntarily taken down. They lost a lot of support after they started doing that.
Also, this wouldn't change their financial situation but the really need to start streaming at 320kpbs.

Yeah I'd guess they would escalate their monetization practices well before we're ever at risk of losing the site. sc themselves are saying this is just the sign of a growing company in an unexplored market, though take that with a grain of salt obvs Back your things up if it makes you feel safer, it's certainly better than not doing it.

Also, this wouldn't change their financial situation but the really need to start streaming at 320kpbs. If they offered this for pro subscribers only it could help them. Currently there's no reason to get a pro subscription unless you're a serious artist (a small portion of sc's users). Most likely though, they'll go the pandora route and disable ads for pro users. Currently there aren't many ads on sc but I have a feeling that's about to change. AdBlock takes care of this.

It's like so ironic cause they can finally stop taking songs down thanks to Universal but they might shut down thanks to Universal lol

If anyone needs any tracks. I have a master track of every pc music song, I can put it on some links once the site shuts down.

It's not hard to download every song on their SoundCloud. All of the songs are either available for download or available for purchase on iTunes.

If you remind me, i'll send a link of all of the files AND a screenshot of how many songs there are

I just didn't understand why someone would think that's unrealistic.
