I was doing some Britney Spears wikipedia-ing, and I went onto the page of one of her songwriters Lola Blanc who co-wrote her 2013 single "Ooh La La", and right there I saw on the page:
"Lola Blanc has written songs alongside producers and songwriters such as SOPHIE"
So, I proceeded to google "Lola Blanc SOPHIE" and I couldn't find any other results. Given that she's quite a little-known singer/performer, it could be quite possible that she put that on her own Wikipedia that she's been working with him.
For me, this feels particularly exciting because it adds to my ongoing hope that Britney is working SOPHIE.
This was my original post from the 2016 Music thread when it was announced that her new single was being titled "Make Me (Ooh)"
Britney Spears' new single is titled "Make Me (Ooh)"
Given that Britney wanted LiZ's "When I Rule the World" and that SOPHIE has songs titled "Ooh", "Oops (Dry)" and Charli's "Secret (Shh)", over on ATRL we're really speculating SOPHIE involvement/PC influence on this track. Given that SOPHIE doesn't say anything about productions, it could be possible. What does everyone think?
BURNS is supposedly involved with production, and BURNS has worked with Noonie Bao, Ellie Goulding, Inna, he's done remixes for Lana Del Rey, Charli XCX's "You (Ha Ha Ha)", and there's some amazing vocal bending on his remix of Marina and the Diamonds' "Primadonna" (pop perfection)
Britney - “The single and the video will thrill fans because it’s all new, totally different and somewhat unexpected. It’s different; it’s a turn. She's gone from pretty straight-forward pop to a really interesting vibe with a lot of really cool stuff." and "“I just know that the direction I’m going in is so good. It’s the best thing I’ve done in a long time."
Could it be true??? This is all speculation but everything about this so far COULD sound like something PC/bubblegum influenced/inspired/involvement
This would be a total dream come true for me. Sorry if making a new thread was unnecessary, I just like finding little connections on the internet, and I couldn't find a SOPHIE general base <3
We'll have to wait for Friday to see...
