I recently came across a post about tween pop stars. Naming Rebecca Black and CJ Fam as the pioneers of a new era of bad/good pop songs sung by 11 year old girls. But some of these tracks are actually amazing.
SOPHIA GRACE - BEST FRIENDS (banger alert!!!!)
Tinashe x Sophia Grace - Best Friends On Deck (Mashup)
Sarah Maugaotega - Take it Easy
JoJo Siwa - BOOMERANG
Hot Problems (official single) *YOU'RE WELCOME
CJ Fam - Ordinary Pop Star!
I was down a deep youtube hole at the end of this search...

I still love Friday in a such a bad way. It's so great. I also forgot about Hot Problems. That song is iconic tbh.

I had a dream last night about one that was like 7 or 8. The song was really good and kinda midtempo guitar pop and her pop star name was Rapunzel. Ironically her hair was very short. On the same record label as in the dream was a pop star named Emma with dancier songs.

Hear are some songs that made my tween heart get life:
These are from when I was young. Also insert 16 year olds Aly&Aj songs too. I was like 10 when some of these songs happened. I remember being in elementary school with these songs. Except the Zendaya and Bella Thorne ones cause I'm their age too. Sophia Grace Best Friends is slayage though. I used to play it all the time. Idk the new girls. i think I might like that Sabrina Carpenter on Disney Channel, she's like 15. But she makes country music
edit: lemme not forget Tynisha Keli and Asia Cruz. Who knows if they ever finished high school

Cause I felt vocally that AJ was stronger. Even more recently as 78violet, if you watch their video Aly gets more close ups but like they're both like super hot now.

I have a soft spot for teen pop. The concept behind it is incredible. I can't even explain why it's so great. It's actually really bad lol.
This song ALWAYS gave me such a Summer feel. From the looks, the instrumental. I can't explain it.
I also like the aesthetic of this video. She was modeled after Britney, I think
There's also Kaci...
I love the shots of her on the bed. I also love the piano that comes in the chorus.
I also liked Lolly. She's from the U.K I believe. She had a few hits like this cover of Hey Mickey and Viva La Radio.
I love her look and the things tied in her hair.
Love this song too. Willa was always really sexualized and I think it worked for her. Too bad this album got scrapped.
This video is superb too. I love her white jacket without a top look.
Mandy Moore's Candy is also really great.

I feel like the whole "corny teen pop sensation" is enjoyable in a self-referential, meta way (same way with PCM). It stands completely isolated from any logical standpoint I'd take on music: complexity in composition, instrumentation, lyrics, overall atmosphere, etc. Like, I completely null my inner critic when it comes to this music and I don't have a single fucking clue why. There's some allure and charm in this genre of music, and I refuse to say that it's just pop music. It's so corny, so saturated in cheesy synths that it manifests it's own appeal. I couldn't listen to a pop song today that only had a few of these tacky elements: saccharine synths, early 2000's pop-rock drums. It's appeal lies in the extremities of all these things. In other words, go big or go home.
One of my favorite songs is "Say OK" but it doesn't really fit in that very specific category of pop. It's a typical mid-00's pop ballad that's in no way special but for some reason I find it incredibly intriguing. It seems ominous for a time period in which lots of teenage Disney stars were making very positive music
Also, this song is just good - end of discussion.
