Speculation on this area is utterly pointless, people's proclivities are clearly factoring in to their interpretation of these half-proofs. Wait for official confirmation, continue as normal otherwise. Theorizing about someones (who I have no meaningful relation with) gender/sexuality always leaves a bad taste in me mouth. I don't even consider it a "half-proof". No one of any relevance to SOPHIE's life has said anything, just some nobody that no one even knows if they really met SOPHIE. What kind of dumb thing to talk about srsly Nowadays some people are overly-concerned about political correctness, so, for them, using the wrong pronouns is akin to, idk, public hanging. I really doubt that, if Sam start to identify as a female and publicly announce ir, he wouldn't mind if, before that, people used "he/him" when referring to him. |

First and foremost, I don't think we're speaking of something that would offend anyone. We're discussing an irrelevant someone's gossip about an issue that, if it had came from the artist themselves, would be of the utmost importance. We're talking about how absurd it is to take that bit of lip service to heart and even expressing that we all would be fine, not mind and support the artist in their personal endeavors.
And second, honestly, I don't give a gallivanting heck if ~PC MUSIC~ checks this forum or not. I'm going to continue to express my opinions about anything related to them and what they do. I haven't ever said anything that would purposely offend any of the artists that are part of or related to the label in any way (granted, some of my past jokes were considered crass for some people, but I apologized, moved on and didn't make the same error again).
So fuck outta here with all this "omg but pc music reads this forum" to try to hinder my points related to any discussion whatsoever. I won't bow down to some notion that I should treat anyone differently just because they are "celebrities".
