So I was curious who sung on Hey QT, considering Hayden Dunham is American and the singer has a British accent. Figured the best way to do that was to look up ASCAP info; it came out on XL so it must be licensed officially for royalties, right? Looking up Hey QT shows the writers as A. G. Cook and Samuel Long — we already know this. No other information. but Sophie's songs are registered under a publisher called MSMSMSM Limited which has a whole bunch of interesting stuff registered under it and under his full name: - A song called "Boyfriend" written with James Wolf. He has an EP called Oxytocin coming out on May 4th. - "Koi", the Le1f song produced by Sophie (which has been done for a really, really long time now) - "Just Like We Never Said Goodbye" which is probably the song he was closing sets with last year, I haven't heard it lately but I know there's probably a YouTube video out there with it, someone with more time than me could link it below - "When I Rule the World", the collab with LIZ that's supposed to be dropping this spring. - Something called "YLOPPUMP", Googling that phrase leads to exactly 0 results. If you wanna look yourself, go here and search "SAMUEL LONG", click the first result:https://www.ascap.com/Home/ace-title-search/index.aspx Didn't get my question answered, for Hey QT it says "Writers: Cook, A. Long, Samuel" and under performers "SOPHIE". Best guess is he sung it himself and pitched his voice up? Anyways, new things to get excited about until you ultimately realize they aren't coming out anytime soon You know, I was just looking at this again and realized that the James Wolf Oxytocin EP came out and the 'Boyfriend' song isn't included on it. SOPHIE's releases are very strange, why go to all the trouble of licensing things like 'Boyfriend', 'Koi' and even 'OOH' is registered too but that song seems to have disappeared from the face of the internet. Here is a direct link to the Samuel Long entry we're referencing (and here's one for just Sam Long) for people to easily take a look at the myriad of songs registered but not released! It's kind of maddening how much is registered and how much isn't released. Hopefully there's a rhyme and reason that isn't apparent at the moment, but it would be nice to finally, finally get some SOPHIE releases coming. Also he's at least going to have that Sia remix song released through the Adult Swim singles on the 24th of August (which is a Monday which just keeps reconfirming that whenever Numbers is going to release SOPHIE stuff it's going to be a Monday), maybe that's when the flood of releases he was talking about in the friopi interview will happen? Gah! I'm going through SOPHIE withdrawal so badly!

Also with regards to the 'he only releases on a Monday' thing - that's probably because until very recently UK releases came out on Mondays, and Numbers is obviously a UK label. But a few weeks ago we changed to the global release date which is a Friday. The Adult Swim thing is different because it's a free download so not going through regular distribution channels - by releasing it on a Monday, they can get a full week of press coverage, whereas if you release it on a Friday it would get buried over the weekend. Cool! Thanks for shedding light on this. I remember when physical releases were more important it seemed that music releases were always on a Tuesday, but with the Internet I figured music could be released at any time now. I didn't know there were still specific release dates. I just had noticed all previous SOPHIE releases being on a Monday which makes sense if they were going by the UK release schedule but it's nice to know that date has switched now. Again, I mentioned the Adult Swim thing because it seemed to back up the previous release pattern, but now I know it's just a coincidence!

Or what's your opinion on it? The others are explained (tracks he produced for something else, or the plan to release OOH in 2013) but these seem to be the only two new solo tracks by him.

Also does anyone have a good quality recording of YLOPPUMP, or can tell me a set in which he plays it?

Also does anyone have a good quality recording of YLOPPUMP, or can tell me a set in which he plays it? this is honestly the only recording i've seen unless there's others that i missed. also i'm not positive that this is YLOPPUMP. it seems to me that there's just not enough info about the song yet. i've seen some people refer to meat jam/the song that Sophie always opens with as YLOPPUMP but idk......... sorry if this was really vague?

Here's another video of the song that's speculated to be YLOPPUMP with SOPHIE transitioning into Meat Jam about two minutes in.
