Just wondering if anyone else feels the same way I do... Do you think it's a bit frustrating? I have several reasons. Number one, this is a new and up/coming thing, so we don't have a lot of material on our hands to enjoy. Regular music is being made at a constant speed and there are always new releases. For us, it seems that we wait ages and ages for one drop of material and then wait ages and ages for another. We survive on live recordings and rumors, and then we don't really get a lot of social media interaction from everyone (not that it's required or anything, but it would be nice!).
Not that I don't *totally* respect all of the PCM artists! I know they are working their hardest to perfect their art and get it to us as quickly as possible.
Just a little frustrating for me. Anyone else?

considering everything, not just the main PC releases, theyve collectively actually put out quite a bit over the last 3 years - im constantly finding a deep cut to be obsessed with
but honestly otherwise yes!! the surprise release model was fun at first when they were a small indie label but now just having 1 song to dig into periodically is infuriating. wherez this big content attack you speak of, and also we know Material is being held back indeterminately
music's always good tho

yeah idk it's frustrating with the limited amount of information that gets communicated but there is a huge amount of content to be found in older mixes. there are very few "officially released" songs/content that you can actually buy but the free content from like 2013-2014 on soundcloud and youtube is pretty incredible

I'm assuming they really take their time to cherry pick what they release over time to avoid losing the limelight after their handful of years of staying fresh expires like many unfortunate artists these days.

Agree w aphextwink about the Soundcloud era stuff. Was amazing - exciting, generous etc. My impatience has grown esp regarding ag cook. He's still sitting on soo much tunes. Whenever I listen back over the older Soundcloud stuff of his now I have thoughts of that being the best of it and like maybe that's all we're gonna get. I'm not bothered/too interested in celeb collabs and prodn thereof. For me PC had already overturned pop music dynamics long before these started happening.

Well it's kind of a trade off. Do I get frustrated and annoyed, for sure. Sooo many times I have wondered why they can't just give us release dates at least. Also, the few and far between releases are probably a barrier to picking up new fans, since a casual listener is going to hear a track, possibly get into it, and then forget about it since theres no follow-up.
OTOH I can trust that every PC Music track is carefully and deliberately made in a way I can't with other labels. For me at least that's pretty big. There is so much music to listen to these days, and so much digging to do for the worthwhile stuff. That's not a problem with PC Music. I might not listen to every single song they released but I don't think there's a single one I would call "filler". Also we have at least two albums to look forward to in the future, PC Music Vol 2 and Hannah Diamond's debut. I think the infrequent drops will be a lot easier to endure when we're getting more than one track at a time.

A bit of a tangent, but why is everyone so adamant that PC Music Vol 2 is actually a thing? they havent even released enough main label tracks to make 10 (without EP duplicates) since the last one I'm conscious this sounds like snobbery but I'm genuinely curious if I've missed something at this point

I think Hi will be on HD's album though and maybe DLH will save his stuff for an album too.

I get annoyed that as many people are involved and like we get one thing every few months. It's kinda dragging. Once I start loosing interest they release one thing and then the whole process starts all over again. It's just tew much waiting on them to release stuff.

This wasn't as much of an issue before last summer. Before, they were releasing stuff all the time. Ever since the Broken Flowers EP, it's been like this. Summer 2015 was sorta like this but that was only a couple of months. September through November was really great.

Being in law school I don't have that much spare time and rarely am able to go digging for music, so waiting for releases doesn't bother me that much. I do wish we were given more release dates so the forum could run wild with anticipation/speculation/hype because that is super fun. But then again surprises are nice too.
