I'm really liking Jessy Lanza and Morgan Geist's collab EP that just came out. Throwback eighties freestyle vibes that are perfect for summer (and PC Music-esque in many respects, at least in terms of influences). Jessy's Pull My Hair Back LP was one of my favorites of 2013, would definitely recommend to anyone who likes minimalist, forward-thinking R&B á la a lighter, kind of funkier Banks.

Tbh I have not been seeking out a lot of new music recently but I was just thinking about how excited I am for Rule the World to come out and how it reminds me a bit of one of my all-time favorite tracks:
Ever since I heard it about 3 years ago this is one of the tracks I have to ration out listening to and restrain myself from playing it too often because I want it to retain its effect on me forever. There are only a handful of songs I feel this way about...Rule the World and Fizz are recent additions and then there are maybe 2 or 3 others.

Bjork and Bjork's band The Sugarcubes, Yelle, pretty much everyone at Ed Banger Rec. (especially Uffie, SebastiAn, and Mr. Oizo), Aphex Twin, Madeon, Porter Robinson, Charli XCX, La Roux, most 80's music (The Cure, Depeche Mode, Kate Bush, Tears for Fears), Grimes, Blackbird Blackbird, Burial, Daft Punk, Moby (bless him), and Boards of Canada. And then I also like really generic artists like Ellie Goulding, Lana del Rey, and Lady Gaga.

I've heard of iamamiwhoami but just recently had a listen. I love it! Is she the producer?

They write the songs together, Jonna sings them and Claes produces them.
