Past few weeks have had some crazy good new releases! The new Animal Collective single is a whole lot of fun, feels like a mix of elements from their previous albums with maybe a little bit of Dan Deacon. Super excited to have Avey Tare and Panda Bear trading off vocals/harmonizing again, which hasn't really happened since Sung Tongs. The new A Sunny Day In Glasgow mini-album is really great too. The more garage-y aspects are a really nice juxtaposition to the last album's more intricate production, but it's still catchy in all the places that count. I'm not really following the scene with too much attention, but I feel like they're the only newer shoegaze band to do something new and have fun with the genre. The Anohni single has me super excited for the album. The production definitely errs more on the side of Hudson Mohawke than Oneohtrix Point Never, but it's still very, very Antony. Also, wuchi , holy shit Sophie & Peter Johnston are amazing! Some Sunny Day is a huge banger. |

Anyone here into the TeamSESH / Swam and Frolic scene on SoundCloud? I think it's one of the most interesting things happening in electronic music right now and I can't wait for those guys to blow up because they definitely deserve it
