Have a new favourite band: Helen Love. They did really upbeat bubblepunk even with happy hardcore elements in the middle of their career (like this track), very energising stuff and almost everything they have done is gold.

New Arca record leaked and it's coming dangerously close to reaching AOTY levels. Just like with OPN I didn't expect him to one-up his last outing but damn. Dude's got vision.

LOL this is super fun but would be way better if it was only half as long. The slideshow for this is YouTube gold though.

New Rustie, Grimes and Hannah Diamond this week. What a time to be alive.

I'm listening right now and its jaw dropping. I can't turn it off to listen to the new Rustie dammit! I'd stick with the new Arca. New Rustie is on itunes in Singapore, and, on first listen, it makes me very sad to say that, although there are a few nice moments, it doesn't sound very good. Maybe it'll grow on me. But it really makes it hard to believe that the same person who made this album also made Glass Swords. It definitely has a lot more "bangers" than Green Language but the execution on most of these tracks is just so poor. I don't know what happened to Rustie after Glass Swords, but every aspect of his production has just seemed to go downhill since. The terrible sound design and eqing that hurt Green Language seem even worse on this and there's nothing even close to Glass Swords's incredible attention to detail or general sense of fun and excitement. Apologies for the negativity but the whole album's just really disappointing. I'm probably also being a bit unfair because Glass Swords is a top 5 album of all time for me and perhaps everything after that was inevitably going to disappoint. I'd love to know what other people think of the album though and whether the disparity between Glass Swords and Green Language/EIUDB is really that great.

I think the two new released songs on soundcloud are both dope. Definitely excited for the album.

It's a step up from Green Language probably, but how did Rusto forget how to master his stuff? I feel like Glass Swords was conceived in isolation over a long period and GL/EIUDB have just been banged out on the road between festivals.

This Iglooghost track is p sweet tbh Oooooooh all the other ones I've heard weren't terribly interesting to me beyond their obviously PC-inspired playful abrasiveness but this one knocks. Maybe I will shell out some cash for the release, Brainfeeder can do no wrong if they've got DJ Paypal and this dude as their most recent signings. Flying Lotus is such a tasteful cat

Green Language is totally high fidelity, maybe even more so than Glass Swords, I don't get that opinion. It does go into crunchy/fizzy distorted elements though, and EIYDB goes even further in that direction. There are often loads of layers and a heaps of distortion/fizz. I think it's gorgeous really.

EIYDB is v good, does anyone have a 320 of Coral Castlez though because the numerous zips i've downloaded don't have the track in for some reason.
